I have found that a lot of Circus's are dying out in the United Kingdom. I have never been to one as I have heard the way they treat the animals and I don't agree with it.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Should New York City ban elephants from circuses?

Almost half of City Council members believe so, with 23 of the 51 signing onto a bill that would prohibit “the display of wild or exotic animals for public entertainment or amusement.” Other animals included in the bill: dolphins, walruses, hippopotamuses, giraffes, koalas, kinkajou, sloths, tarantulas, rhinoceroses and armadillos. Despite the extensive taxonomy in the bill, essentially everyone admits that the primary target for the legislation is the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. (There is a chimpanzee which rides a goat in Staten Island rodeo which would also be affected too, animal activists say.)

Hello everyone,
I have posted some ads on craislist.com to the pets section just telling everyone about the awful abuse the elephants and other animals at the circus endure.I have been getting some positive responses. It seems like many people think these animals are happy. Its getting hard to post everyday so if anyone can help me and just post something in your city then I think that would be great. At least we can get the word out. Be prepared because some weird people e-mailed me back about how I should just leave the circus alone and who cares as long as the people are having a good time. It amazes me how ignorant people are.I am just so happy that there is group like this. Thanks for your help .
