May the Angels of love surround all hurting animals,I pray that God send people to rescue these animals from the people that are hurting them while theirs still time in their little lives,in Jesus name.Amen.

I am involved with a horse adoption and rescue center. As with may people and businesses they are having a hard time of it and may go under if they can’t get some funds for the program. . We are located in West Virginia but the farm takes in horses form all states. Many of the horses are competing horses which can no longer compete such as racing, jumping, and dressage. They offer a tax deduction for the owners who donate them which helps to keep them out of the auctions for slaughter horses. As far as I know this is the only place in WV that takes rescue horses. The money received to adopt the horses is used for vet bills, hoof care, feed, wood chips for the stales, the care for all animals including the ones that are given away for free and what ever help that there is money to hire some help for the care of the farm and horses. At this time there are over 20 horses on the farm and hardly any help to keep things going. She does not have but a few volunteers who give a very minimum amount of time. They have a good adoption contract to try and find all the animals good homes. We are looking to be able to link up to horse web sites or to advertise on them for a small fee. I'm not sure if you've heard, but there's a movement of citizens inspired by the presidential campaign who are now submitting ideas for how they think the Obama Administration should change America. It's called "Ideas for Change in America."

One idea is titled: Pass the Puppy Uniform Protection Statute to Help Stop Puppy Mills. I thought you might be interested in getting involved and recommend you check it out. You can read more and vote for the idea by clicking the following link:

Please help our military in Iraq to save their new friends and companions. These dogs and cats where rescued and cared for by our troops and have become pets and mascots to our American solders.

However General Order 1A prohibits conduct that compromises characters and morale. This also includes a strict prohibition on the keeping of pets, even though soldiers' pets provide immeasurable comfort and would clearly enhance morale, not compromise it.

Because of these regulations the military has a habit of confiscating and killings animals rescued by our troops rather than allowing our men and women of the Armed Forces who have sacrificed so much to adopt and take home the animals that have helped them through the horrors of war.Our troops and their pets should not suffer anymore. Urge the military to rescind this part of GO-1A.

All of the cruelty just needs to stop. I don't know how anyone could hurt an animal. Dogs, Cats, Wolves, Bears and Etc have feelings to. It just makes me so mad and sick to my stomach everytime I see a video or hear about animals be used for this or that, or being slaughtered.. I became a vegetarian because of all this misuse of animals. If I had a home (not an apt) I would love to foster some animals. It breaks my heart that I can't foster any right now. Lets just keep these petitions going, and maybe one day, just one day this might end.

hello miley!!!I "rescued" a kitten yesterday at work with one of the cooks help.This little thing was hanging from a brick building outside of an apartment window!!!We tried to catch him because he did fall.I don't know how high the building was but he fell from a high place and he hit the ground.I'm going to school to be a feline vet,and i did take a look at him to see if he was ok.He was scared half to death,but we gave him alittle tuna,and he did eat.I watched him as he walked and he seemed to walk ok.I'm not sure how old he is,but he is a tiny thing,so i'm thinking maybe six-weeks old.I'm alittle pissed off at the owner though!!!How can a person do this.I'm almost tempted to report this person.As a vet student,it really,makes me mad the way some people treat animals!!!I'm,with some of my friends help.are going to make sure that this little kitten gets the home he deserves with people who love him beccause i think he's a very special cat.I would love to keep him,but i have two female cats and i can't have a male right now.I'm going to check on him this morning because my neighbor next door has him,to see if he's ok.lori
