This is the link to the news story which occurred this morning. If you copy and paste it into your browswer it should take you there.

Briefly this lady no where to be found had a pack rat situation in her home which two fires were accidently started in the same day and night. In that home she had stacked up to the ceiling these pet carriers with 25 Lhasa apso's which all died in the fire. I can't stand this type of thing but people actually do this for whatever reason I don't know. The animal control people said these dogs were not let out for exercise due to the length of their nails.

Just wanted to share another sad sad story and I wondered if this is what they call a puppy mill? Why do people do this rotten stuff?

Animal hoarding and hoarding in general is a very sad situation. What a tragedy. I knew a woman that collected old magazines and newspapers. You couldn't walk through her front door.. literally. People like this have a mental disorder. It doesn't sound like a puppy miller given the look of her garage, but who knows. Either way it's tragic.

I just wonder if these people have any relatives or people that come to visit or are they just alone and in need of pets? But that is no reason to leave animals in cages inside and to have so many! If I were a neighbor or relative I would definitely see to it that this situation be handled, I am sorry but cruelty is cruelty.

I hope that no one seeing the news or reading this post knows anyone that does this or lives like this! If so, do something, see that these people get the help they need! Do it for the animals! Rescue groups can help-too many dogs lost their life and this story is tragic! Stop the animal hoarding or whatever it is you call this! It is wrong and in this case way too late!

Belles I also free feed, only had an issue with one cat, whom we nicked Hoover, he would inhale any food possible then present it back. I agree cats are individuals as are dogs, some do fine with free feeding others do better with timed feedings.

The animal may be injured to the extent that he'll heal without human intervention. They are *very* tough,
