Many of the following adoption/foster pleas are from Facebook. However, I've included all the most all of the info here in case you don't have a Facebook account. PLEASE REPOST! thanks!
HAPPY

via Carolina Care Bullies - Happy is a pit bull mix, and her ‘mix’ makes her especially beautiful, with her fringed tail, and thick, soft fur. Her coat & her coloring are gorgeous, but at one point in her life, poor Happy lost one of her ears—and whether is was due to an attempted ear-cropping, or a brush with another animal, we’ll never know.... However, whatever Happy has been through, it has not broken her spirit, which is why she earned her very simple, yet very descriptive name. Happy loves affection, and would gladly be your lap doggie if you so choose. She also loves to sniff the great outdoors, more than the average pit bull, which leads us to wonder—is she mixed with a hunting breed? We are told she does like to chase rabbits and squirrels, but she is wonderfully mannered with small dogs and also many large dogs too, only getting grumpy if food or affection is present and they try to impose. Who can blame her for wanting to be a princess?
Although her former caretaker and veterinarian never mentioned it, we believe Happy to be at least partially hearing impaired. She is very attuned to smells and sight, and you sometimes have to get her attention in other ways than calling her to you. This is not much different form many stubborn dogs we have known!
We are quite fond of Happy ourselves, and only wish we did not have such a full house. She deserves a very special home that gives her all the love and attention that a princess requires. She could live happily in a home with another male dog or two, as long as she got some one-on-one time with her favorite thing in the world—you!! Happy is house & crate trained, and will sit for a treat. She is so very smart, and doesn’t need her ears a bit—she has a gigantic heart to guide her.

CAROL

via Find a Friend Rescue - We're still looking for homes! I'm Carol (brindle female 11 months old). I was pulled from a gassing shelter in OH with my 3 babies at the last second. My last baby is going to his new home as we speak. I still have Georgie my adopted baby here but I would really like to find a home of my own. Georgie is a 16 weeks old Shepherd mix baby who I adopted as my own.

TIMMY

via Allen Babcock Rescue - Timmy is a precious 30 lb. lab mix that was rescued from the streets while searching for his next meal. Timmy is a fantastic boy and he gets along with other dogs. Timmy likes to play but is not overly active and would also do good as the only dog. If you are interested in meeting
little Timmy, contact babcock_rescue@yahoo.com.

YODA

via Shelter Stroll ~Multidimensional Uber Kitten "Yo Yoda"~Lancaster Shelter, CA, needs a home!
Yo Kitty Yoda
Here's a dapper little guy dressed in fancy tuxedo.
He's called Yoda... yes, I know... the name is not as dignified as his handsome debonair appearance, but he's a little cutie who is both elegant and down-to-earth. This is no one dimensional kitty. He has a multitude of personality. He will sit regally in a chair, but then it's not beneath him to jump over and climb into a lap for love and kisses.
This young kitten is running out of time. If you are seeking a really really cute little kitty please consider this adorable guy. He could really use a home.

MOMMA PITBULL

via Bama Bully Rescue (via an e-mail sent to them):
Ok Everyone. We have yet another pit bull situation. My sister was driving by the airport yesterday and saw a momma pit bull walking across the road. Luckily when my sister called her she came. She was so tired from wandering. It is obvious that she made her great escape from somewhere that was horrible. She has been overbred. Her nipples are very swollen and saggy. She appears to have a cist or tumer on one of them. I also included a pic of her neck. She has a place around it. Maybe where she has been chained for a long time. Her pawsx are rough. She is a tired old momma and needs alot of help. She needs to go to the vet asap. My sister brought her to me last night. I can't keep her. She needs vet treatment and a foster. She is VERY sweet lady. I haven't tried her around dogs but she likes to chase my cats. She is great with children. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE. Any suggestions??????

via Bama Bully Rescue (via an e-mail sent to them):
From email:
the backstory is someone kept leaving bullies tied up at an abandoned house by him and they were on chains and starving and sick. one died already. the other is at the vet, and he can't afford to keep her boarding....
Hello Everyone,
Good news and bad news. Good news is I just couldn't do nothing so I took the girl to the vet and she checks out heartworm negative, got her vaccines and dewormed. She has a cough but it may just be from her heavy log chain she was tied to we really don't know. Bad news is I can't pay to keep her there and they want me to pick her up today. I'm beating the bushes and hoping to find someone who can take this angel. The thought of taking her back kills me!!
Pray for a quick answer please, thanks again everybody!

UPDATE: Hello Everyone,
After animal control asked me to "look after" the dog over the weekend instead of again doing nothing to help her, I made up my mind and took her to the vet. They have kind hearts and let me keep her there over the weekend and she's checked out pretty healthy to our surprise. She's got some issues with her trachea because of the collar and log chain since she's really been pulling. The female that was with her died and she's been pulling harder since she's been alone. I'm sending just one picture so it's a smaller file and can be forwarded easier. I know everyone is full and I'm happy to foster but she's a big dog and I have a back injury that I've already had 2 surgeries for and it's almost impossible with Rob gone for me to handle bigger dogs. I'm going to try to scramble for some funds and keep her at the vet a few more days but I'm running out of options. Please keep beating the bushes and really, thank you sooooo much. I'd be pretty much lost without the support and help and advice from all of you.
Have a good day!!

UPDATE:
Hello again. My brother in law very generously called my vet and paid $300 of
her vet bill today and I'm borrowing the rest from my mom. She will now be
ready to go when we can get her into foster care. Spayed, vaccines, heartworm
negative, dewormed, etc. She'll be ready to go in a few days. Now we're just
praying for a miracle and a spot to open up with someone who has pittie
experience. God bless all of you - this is tough stuff! Keep you posted.

HAZEL

via Bama Bully Rescue - Hazel in Montgomery AL needs rescue/foster or a sponsor to buy her some time! (Boarding rate info updated)
This wonderful lady was brough in as a stray to a vet clinic. They have had her since October, 2009. She is sweet, playful and loves attention. They've gotten some weight back on her, since she came in emaciated. She is approximately 1-2 years old, and wants to spend time with humans!
It is unknown how she is with cats and other dogs, although she hasn't growled through her kennel at anything. If needed, she could be tested further.
Unfortunately, the holidays are coming up, and the vet clinic can't justify keeping her, and turning away regular paying clients for boarding. You can donate towards her boarding to help buy her some time!
To donate towards boarding, contact garland@bamabully.org for Clinic contact info. The boarding rate is $12.15 a day, and we are trying to raise ten day's worth ($122.50) to convince the vet to give her more time!
In the meantime, please crosspost for Hazel, who needs a second chance at a great family.
Since the clinic is small and has little staff, a BBR volunteer has offered to help screen all inquiries.
If you are interested in helping Hazel, please contact garland@bamabully.org for more info and she will put you in touch with the clinic staff!
She is HW neg, dewormed, and will be UTD on vaccines. There is no pull fee for rescue. Adoption fee is $100.

MOMMY CHI

Not her best photo...
This very gentle and sweet little girl is much more beautiful in person. However, keep in mind she just had three little puppies!!! Most ladies don't feel particularly attractive following pregnancy and having recently given birth.
Unfortunately this beautiful mom is out of time. She and her puppies are scheduled to be euthanized at any moment. The shelter personnel say she's an absolute sweetie and they are hoping someone can rescue her. So, if you have just a tiny bit of extra space... hey it's only a little dog and three teeny tiny babies! Then perhaps she, and her babies will get an opportunity to be loved and held and cuddled in someone's arms.

HOOTCH

via Bama Bully Rescue - Hootch! A cutie is available at Chilton County Humane. 3 legs!
Hootch's story.
Hootch is a 10 month old Pit Bull pup. He was hit by a car and his owner took him to a local vet in Clanton, AL to be pts because she could not afford to have his leg repaired or removed. The vet and her staff opted to have the lady sign over Hootch and a volunteer paid for his leg to be removed. He is a very very sweet boy and deserved to live. He is now fully vetted and ready for a home or rescue. The clinic took him to the Chilton Co. Humane Society and now he is recuping in Joe's office. No foster home has been found.
He needs a foster or rescue. Please help him if you can. Great little boy.
Contact Joe Murphy at chiltoncountyhum@bellsouth.net or 205-755-9170 for more information about Hootch.
