I guess it didn't add my previous comment...the cat below showed up lost on my deck. He has clearly been an indoor cat & has been very loved but no one has come looking for him or answered the many ads. Anyone in the Wenatchee, WA area here, please pass this around in hopes that someone will know he is missing or who owns him.

Every animal, except my cat Zues was a stray. Even Zoo-Zoo as we called him came from a shelter. I can remember every cat or kitten we have taken in over the years. Our family dog that my kids grew up with was a shepard mix the people accross the street moved away and left tied up with moldy wet gravey train just out of his reach. We had him for years.

If I ever took in a stray? I used to rescue all what I could back in my country, Romania, where dogs are walking on the street to nowhere, they are hit by cars or people. I had one time in my apartment about 13-14 dogs, all rescued, strays, puppies or adults, and one female who was pregnant; she gave birth at 7 puppies. I took care and I found families for each of them. And one particulary stayed with me, we called him Lion, he was beautiful and extremely smart; he passed away 2 years ago at 20 years. My mother who is 83, has 3 stray dogs, all are happy, they were 4, one died at 18 this year. Stray dogs are so much better than brreds, breeds are stubborn, stray dogs are kind, good and forever thankful you gave them love and a home. I find it like a racial behaviour when people want only breeds! It is not fair! People, dog lovers, try a stray dog and you'll be grateful you adopted him!

DSNAKE - Its wonderful you want to help a stray - keep the receipt for the return so u can claim it on taxes as a donation

I will always stop and try to help a stray, and when i get them to trust me i take them to a no kill shelter and pay the fee, so the owner can go claim them. It gets them off the street and they wont get hit by a car then

i just took in a little pitbull mix stray puppy :) we named her Sadie, another family had found her on a walk and could'nt keep her so they had her outside, where she got covered in fleas and bit up, but they gave her to us and now shes happy and healthy, only 1 month old <3
