I live in the Nassau County in New York. Five years ago my husband rescued a pit bull puppy. She was dirty had ear mites, skin rash and hungry. I have to admit I was scared of those big paws and alligator mouth. A few nights of her whimpering and tripping on her own paws I fell in love with a pit bull. My younger daughter named her Carmella because she's the color of a carmel apple. I thought it would work out with my male shiba inu Kikki who was four at the time.
On walks people would ooh and ahh. Now 80 lbs later, I have even cleared out the vet's office. About eighteen months ago Carmella attacked Kikko on three occasions.
The last attack was the worse--twenty stiches, drains and a nervous dog. In addition the vet bills on the three visits has been over $1200. My backyard neighbors feel frightened of her since they have two small dogs and Carmella has started to stand on her hind legs and grab at he fence with her teeth.
Carmella is not socialized since her size and breed scare even out family when they come to our home. We love both dogs equally.
I would like to place her and would appreciate the name of a reliable organization. A place that deals with pits. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
And if I was Full Moon, and knew of your intentions, I would be contacting my attorney. They are a 501c3 and rely on the public's donations to sustain their work and your comments are clearly made to interfere with that. I would imagine they would h…
This is a group for anyone who wants to voice any opinion that they have on pit bulls. Whether you like them or not, you have a right to your own opinion . Just as long as you remember, If We Kill The Innocent, We Become The Enemy!
Hi,
Did the vet also check the feet that would be your best sourse for information? My dogs tend to lick & chew at their feet a lot also. We've never noticed anything wrong with them. Hope everything is fine.
And if they do not get any help, it will be due to your sabotaging of such. And I hope that anyone that reads this post is well aware of what Ms. Barbara's intentions are and that is to sabotage ASPCA members from helping these groups that are in di…
