I will try to make this long story short and to the point; We had major storm here in tulsa,ok about a month ago and there were 2 pits that went by out front and came back about 3am.heard them barking, thought at cattle, but saw one run up hill as from someone, few minutes later heard gun shot and the other dog was quiet, no sounds, awful quiet, so knew it was shot. Went to look for the body, it deserved better, but the other one, not knowing me, was at my gate, I stay up with her all night to see her safe till morning and not planning on rescuing her as I am overwhelmed now with rescues and trying to quit because of new laws here and no help in any form. But took her in. On the 16th of june a neighbor brought to me a extremely skinny red pit, female, she had been lost in the woods it appeared as others have.Iam sure she is the one thought dead. She is putting on weight and is very sweet and loving to humans.Does seem very friendly even wags tail in right way when the others and her sister or whatever she is, comes near her cage/kennel, she is loose in back yard, has the run of except when I take the others out for their run and for their business, anyway husband let his rat t. out and at the door they seem fine but when he got out she pinned him to the ground fast, no real damage and she obeyed and was easy to pick up off of him but she did not want to be. She is great but while I have placed many pits, I do not know about them enough or have time to work with her special, but she is very gentle with us and the one who brought her to us and has not been a fighting dog. Someone with true knowledge could help her and she has been through a lot since the storm, so she deserves to live and here in tulsa county if the pound gets her she will be killed no question, I Have a short time to place the others too by the new laws, so if anyone can help her??please? prefer her out of tulsa are and Tulsa county. I Can try to send pics, as she is fatter and have pics of first day when at deaths door. God Bless and thanks jc new to computers, internet and these forums etc, so hope I didn't do any of this wrong if so sorry. jenniecarroll@cox.net 9189480565 Tulsa,ok. oh, her name is Mercy

I would love to take in another pit but as it stands we have 5 dogs and not a big enough house for another big dog. Thou i do have some advice if she is sometimes dog aggressive that will help her get a home faster. do this every day, Lay her on her back with your hand pinning her to the ground keep her like that til the tension is gone and when you remove your hand shes still laying. Allow the dogs to come up to her, sniff her what ever. That then shows she is below you and the other dogs. you'll have a great submissive pit and it would make it easier to find her a home. Good luck. My prayers are with Mercy.

It's been alot worse than this.. It infuriates me. These people say money could be spent better elsewhere but I don't see them offering their time or money for any other causes. They just hide behind the keyboard and piss & moan. The more peole I…

I had no issue initially, and if any one of those people asked me to help them with saving an animal I would still do it in a heartbeat, because that is the only thing which matters. However I cannot speak and to quote you for the other "side." Thi…

Thank you Darrell. I really appreciate you compliment. CHRISTMAS is my favorite holiday. I have a senior with bad allergies so I am sharing with my experience.
