Comment by Geri on August 1, 2008 at 12:06pm - We are moving to No. Italy from California. We want to bring our dog. A healthy 2 yr. old, 22 lb. mix. We are concerned about his health and welfare flying for so long in cargo. Are there other modes of transportation exclusively for pets? barge, private airlines? I heard if it is too hot outside the airline will not fly pets or it can be very dangerous for pets. Do you have any tips and alternatives for transporting? How do I find out what shots and papers are required for transport of a dog?
