Dressing up your dog

I have a question. Do you think its ok to dress up your dog on daily basis, well except when it's hot outside or when he sleeps at night? My fiance thinks I am crazy to do that. But I am very much into fashion and love when my little puppy relates to me.... And I tend to think that he likes it, because every time I take out his clothes he literally runs to me and tries to grab it from me knowing its his

You dog can not cool off with clothes on, I dont believe that its a good idea. He is wearing a fur coat in hot weather as it is. How would you feel going out side with a fur coat on in the heat?

well like I said, when its hot out I don't put clothes on him, usually in the winter time, and when its chilly outside or in the house

This is a personal choice for you, and a question of comfort for your pet. If your dog has no problems and enjoys getting dressed up, indulge yourself. Always keep in mind safety in terms of items that will not get tangled or pose a chokeing hazard. Also take care with clothes that may have small bits and pieces that could pose a choking hazard if he chews or swallows it. Finally, as you note, when it is very warm give him a break and let him go au naturalle!

oh thanks so much for your support. Yes I always wash his clothes, and if he has some mulch on or anything from the backyard, i shake it off him. But when it is hot, of coarse I don't put anything on him.
