Well, Gus is still a kitten. So, I overlook his 'mean' side. I know that he will grow out of it. I estimate that he will be a year old around the end of September or early October. (Sept 20 - Oct 10) Since the first time I saw him, he was around 6- 8 weeks old at Thanksgiving of last year. But, I remember my friend's Tuxedo and he used to crawl up on her and hug her neck. Gus does give me sweet kisses on the cheek when he is hungry. Did you see him in my pictures?

I have a cat, named Gus, who is a Tuxedo. So, I thought that I would join the Tuxedo cats Group.

All of our cats will come up and pat us on the leg, with claws retracted, to get our attention. If we don't pat attention, they will leave the paw on our leg and slowly sink the claw into our leg. Our newly adopted Feral male is even learning to do it. The kitten sn't big enough to reach our leg from the floor but will use our lower leg as a sharpening post. She is still timid enough to take off running if we yell at her to stop. She seems to be going through a phase like a little kid. It might be that for a while, when we first found her, every time we got hold of her, she was getting medicine or her ears treated for mites or rubbed down with flea meds. She likes to be held but doesn't like being a patient. The older ones couldn't care less, as long as we make over them and feed them.

She wont give it up. She doesnt like to share. She's content w/ her toy all byherself. We try to play w/ her and so does Zion, but she's happy byherself. She'll go in the other room w/ her soccer ball if you try to take it.

She's also fond on the Laser pointer. (both cats) if only my hand could keep it going 24/7. lol

Our Trouble was never too hot on playing catch but the big white female will wear you out! The tux has a whole box full of little toys he will drag out and play with, knocking them all over the floor. He had a big bee on a string that he would play with so hard, he would hit his head on the wall. He finally destroyed it and we just haven't replaced it. He also loves to chase a red laser pointer and will jump way up trying to catch it. We make circles on the floor and he chases it until he gets dizzy and falls over. Now, if we could just teach him to put his toys away!

Bunny, if Zahra is walking around and carrying a toy in her mouth, she is trying to tell you she wants to play fetch or catch with you. We have a long haired white cat that will play for hours if we let her. She has a favorite little yarn ball that she will cary to one of us and stand there looking as if to say, " well, toss it so I can go get it. She will sometimes hook her claw in it and toss it into the next room and go get it herself,
If this is your first tux, you will find they are very vocal and extremely playful and just plain devilish.
Give her lots of love, she demands it!

Hi Tara! I'm doing the same with limiting the carrots and apples - in fact I've totally cut them out for the moment as my rabbit is on a diet. It's not doing much good as she's still a bit podgy! Ha ha! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets…
