RUNNING FOR THEIR LIVES

There are more than 25000 grey hounds that are being killed each year in Auatralia. These loving animasl are used to run races and once they re old nd cannot run anymore they are shot or left to die on their own. some of these gerey hounds are just looked after andf then sent to asia where they become a part of their delicacy. this is vey sad. please check out this page guys and tell me if there is somethin we can do, Millions of dogs each year are electrocuted, strangled, skinned alive or bludgeoned to death in Korea.

http://www.aact.org.au/greyhounds.htm

This link holds valueable information about these racing dogs and the minister involved, maybe we could all write a petition to him, and finally it wold stop. we could also write to him telling him to stop shipping these dogs to korea and other asian countries who consume dog meat.
Waitin to hear from you all.

I wanted to send a group broadcast to everyone in the group, but the group broadcast buton is missing. Please read the following urgent message:

Greetings, dear friends & dog lovers. I am under intense pressure and threats of fines, from my home owners association, to get rid of several of my precious puppies. The puppies I need a stable, loving, forever home for are 2 or 3 in my profile's photo. (Also see my slide show.) They are Staffy & Labradore Retreiver mix. The Black & white one is a female; the redish-brown & white one is a male. They were born about the first of the year. They have had their first puppy shots & de-worming. They combine the best qualities of the Staffy (i.e., courage) and the best of the Labradore Retreiver (so smart they seem almost human)! They will be wonderful, loving, faithful family puppies. But they also started growling & barking (only when the situation warrented it) at only three weeks of age! No one can get within a half block of my home but what they sound the alarm! So they will also become wonderful, courageous, fearless watch dogs too!!! At a time when most cities are forced to lay off most of their police force, these dogs will be worth their weight in gold to you & your family's security. They'd also make great tracking, trailing or search & rescue dogs, as both parents have superb noses for that, and can even track on sidewalks and down paved roads! Unfortunately, I just can't keep them all. If anyone is interested, please contact me ASAP, & tell me why you would be the best adoptive person/family for one of my pups. If interested, please respond quickly before I am forced to turn them over to the pound. :-(

Blessings,
Paul

Hello, my name is Ashley.and i live in NEW YORK CITY. I am a founder/ creator of a group (FASC) Fundraising Animal Safety Community. I have recently made this group official and i'm recruiting members. Please join & make a difference in these animals lives. I myself have a HUGE PASSION for helping and saving animals. I for a fact know that i am speaking for everyone when i say this. . . ANIMALS COMPLETE MY LIFE ! I don't understand how someone can have the audacity and the guts to hurt or put fear into animals or even raise them to be aggressive. It is my MISSION to help and get these animals back to good health and back on their feet . IF you are passionate and feel the same way as i do then PLEASE ,PLEASE, PLEASE join my group to MAKE a difference ! animals dont get neglected or become strays " ACCIDENTLEY " THEY OWNERS ARE TOO MUCH OF A COWARD 2 EITHER PUT THEM IN A SHELTER WHERE SOMEBODY ELSE WOULD TAKE 'EM IN SO THEY DECIDE THAT PUTTING 'EM OUT ON THE STREETS IS THE RIGHT THING 2 DO . . . I THINK NOT ! ! ! ! ANIMALS ARE GAMES THEY HAVE ONE LIFE JUST LIKE WE DO AND NOBODY SHOULD TAKE THAT AWAY FROM THEM :)

The city of Des Moines, Iowa wants to kill my dog because he is a pitbull. They think he is a "Vicious Dog" because of his specific breed. Which, in turn, makes him a "Dangerous Animal" and subject to a city ordinance that will allow them to murder my innocent dog.
I have appealed this judgement and must now appear before the city council...but I can't plead my case, I can't introduce any new evidence which includes all the letters I've collected from my community about what a great dog Mojo is. So my plan is e-mails and mailing pictures and letters to the city council members before the meeting. Thank goodness it's my civic right to contact them directly. I would appritiate any advice or letters I could send off to them.
Please, I am begging, anyone who cares to write a letter and e-mail it to me so I can send them. I'm hoping this will change her decision to kill Mojo. If they can understand that he has impacted so many people and has so many friends.
I have owned my pit since he was 4 weeks old, he is now 5 years now. My neighbors small dog attacked him and my dog bite him, a warning bite to say the least. No significant injuries, no stitches, and neither dog was on a leash (it happened in the hallway of my apartment) So now they want to destroy my dog because my neighbors LIED and said the bite was unprovoked.
I am working on getting an attorney but right now I'm writing, making phone calls, e-mailing, and begging for help.
HELP ME SHED THE LIGHT All I need is just two sentences, two paragraphs ANYTHING!!!
*Just state your name
*How you know Mojo and I
*What your experiences have been with him-his manners, whatever...
*And why you feel he shouldn't be killed
*E-mail to shannon84simmons@gmail.com
He has been in the pound for a month now. They won't let me see him and I know he is so scared! They don’t walk him, he has an automatic feeder and the only time they take him out is to clean the tiny kennel. That’s the only social interaction he has! He belongs on my couch, taking a nap!
PLEASE HELP ME BRING MY DOG HOME!!!!! HIS LIFE IS IN OUR HANDS

Hi joined due to the main title caption of education to prevent animal cruelty. I am STRONGLY in agreement with that objective.
I see many places here focused on 'after the fact' which is wise and good, yet its prevention of the acts of cruelty before they happen that I feel I want to devote my attention to.
I believe in love, and learning, as preventative measures to cruelty.
Such as someone who would 'loose it' with frustration due to not knowing how to train an animal to do something such as not go to the bathroom on the floor, or a man beating a horse for not doing what he wants. Training, by educating these people on effective an positive means to obtain better results sooner, would be easily adapted under those conditions, but those people, thus preventing further incidence of cruelty as a form of control over these animals.
No less, learning the appropriate care required for health and safety for them prevents cruelty due to ignorance.
This is a good concept for a group, thanks for having it here!

Please help me to spread the word that all types of lilies are extremely poisonous to cats. Your kitty will suffer severe kidney failure and die within 48 hours. Please spread the word and save a life. If you want to know more about this post go to helping animals. Its one of the posts.

This sickness needs to stop this very second! People who treat our baby animals badely should and will have the same done to them if not in life then in the afterlife! I hate cruel people that call themselves humans after behaving this grossely towards our beautiful babies, If i was the rich i would see to it that you monsters who hurt animals, woud suffer forever!!!!The animals were here first, start showing loyality and love they show us, they are the our guardian angels!!!!!!

Catawba County, NC) Claiming that Chloe the dog had been coming toward him while on his property in March 2008, William Helms reportedly stated that he shot her once and that she then ran off toward a nearby creek.

Yet upon hearing 3 gunshots, Chloe’s owner drove toward Helms’ property and discovered Chloe dead on the ground, having been shot in the hindquarters and back of the head. The physical evidence indicates that Chloe was shot 3 times from behind after she had left Helms’ property. Mr. Helms is facing a single misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty for his alleged crime.

Take Action!
Please send polite letters to Mr. Gaither, urging that Mr. Helms be charged with felony animal cruelty and that a meaningful sentence be sought upon conviction.
