Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
Allie & Camiera
How we met:
They were both stray kittens when I found them (two years apart). Both were out at night, alone and didn't seem to have a home.
Pet likes:
Camiera is big on boxes and totes, if she isn't on the couch or my bed, I'm sure she's in something somewhere. Allie is big on going where Camiera goes. Camiera likes to groom Allie but Allie doesn't reciprocate (poor Camiera). Camiera likes to play fetch and loves going into the tub after I've taken a bath or shower.
Pet dislikes:
Camiera dislikes having her belly touched. Allie dislikes me getting up when she plants herself in lap. If I don't leave the door open a little in the bathroom when I'm taking a bath or shower, they'll cry and scratch at the door.
Pet’s favorite spot:
In my lap or near enough to touch. Occasionally I'll have a quarter of my own weight of cat on me but usually they don't like to share me. If one is curled on my lap, the other might be on the upper part of the couch or warming up the bed. I've also noticed that Camiera likes being in my laundry basket (with or without clothes in it). Allie hides out among the boxes I'm moving with in the spare bedroom or gets into my clothes.
Pet’s favorite toy:
They both like all kinds of cat toys. There's no real "favorite".
Pet’s silliest habit:
I keep food out for them around the clock but I don't need to see the dish to know when it needs to be refilled. Camiera will come love on me excessively. Don't get me wrong, they never go hungry and ALWAYS have food, but Camiera is picky about it when it gets low I think. And every time I run a bath, Allie chases me into the bathroom, meowing at me incessantly. They both will lay around though in the bathroom while I'm in there. Sometimes on the toilet, in the sink, on the floor, on the towel unit. Allie has come close to falling into the tub because she's so anxious to get to me.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
On the rare occasion that Allie bathes Camiera's face...
When Camiera or Allie try grooming me...
I crack up when my pet:
Fetches the toys I throw for her.
Or when I have a toy on a string how they kind of flip and slip when they are tracking the toy.
Also when I'm in the process of changing their water and food, Camiera gets so excited. Her tail twitches, she's talking to me, and I get the feeling that she's trying to tell me to "hurry up, Ma!!" The "Kibbles and Bits" Dog Food commercial is an adequate feel for what happens when I'm getting their food and water freshened up.

Also, regardless of the time between uses, as soon as I've scooped the litter box, Allie has to do her business in it.

It's funny the social order they have. Camiera gets to the food first, Allie gets to the litter first. When I'm sitting at the table and Camiera wants affection, she butts her head into mine.
And it cracks me up when I just go from one room to another, Allie comes running and crying after me.
My pet is unique because:
They are sweet, loving, beautiful animals. I feel like they are my kids and we are very attached to each other. And no matter what kind of day I am having, how I'm feeling, or how I look, they love me and I, them.

Moving

I apologize to my connections in the ASPCA Online Community. I haven't really been able to get on here much to due to moving and being in a lot of pain. I am happy to report though that not only was I able to rescue the cats who were tossed out of their homes mid-winter but I am also in a better place. Please know I am here in spirit and will come back as much as I can. Thank you for your continued contact.

Yeah, I think it's pretty normal when they don't have food to be vocal. That isn't what I meant by what I wrote... I am just saying that when I freshen things up Camiera is cute and chatty.

It is insane to say that the round-ups are not working if you yourself have seen that the horses are healthy and happy out there. That is the point of the roundups. A mare can have one foal per year and each foal can begin having a foal per year at…
