I have two in heat right now. They drive me nuts when they are in heat!! The are constantly wanting to be petted, are rubbing up against things, shoes, my purse, ME, and what ever else happens to be handy. Pet them, and the ass going in the air with…

Going into heat is miserable, mainly for the owner! You can have a cat spayed when they reach 4 lbs, not necessarily by their age. I have had cats go into eat at 4 months, just recently my rescued Siamese mix went into eat at 4 months and I got her…

Normally cats will stay in the cycle for a week to 10 days, but just as soon as they end a cycle they can go into another. That's the problem I've had with my female. She ended up getting pregnant 2 days before an appointment with the vet for my mal…

i agree with bams481, but would like to add more on to it, yes, having ur cat spayed is healthier for it, but this is because a cat who is not spayed has higher risk of developing mammary cancer and other forms of cancer,

Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
Two beautiful female Siamese mix cat, Meela and Keylala. One Male, Sam, One Female,Socks, Miniature Collies and Zeke the Hamster. As of February 12, 2009 We adopted a blue heeler puppy and her name is Zieva.
How we met:
The mother cat was a stray and she brought me all 4 of her babies one at a time and I litter trained them bottle feed them and wend them onto regular cat food and found two good homes and kept two. The female Collie (black) is a step daughter, I married her daddy and the male collie (red) my mother got him for me when he was two months and I was nine. My husband went and bought the Hamster from a pet store.
I have been looking for a puppy online for sometime and then I found out that we do have a shelter in this small town. So we decided to go have a look around while we were there 9 dogs came in and she was one of them along with her 5 brother and sisters and momma. At the time we did not have the money to adopt her so they let us foster her for a week and make sure she got along with the other two dogs. Everything worked out and we got her.

In memories of the lost

There comes a point in your life when you realize:
> who matters, who never did, who won't anymore...
> and who always will,
>like your family or pets.
> But your babies will always live in your memories,
>they were always there for you when times were tough.
>So keep loving your furry, feathery, and or scaly friends,
> To the end.
>You know how it feels when people leave you,
>so don't leave them.
>Love them to the end.
>And even longer.

Love Wolves

Wolves are in my book the most beautiful creatures out there. I can't believe how people treat them. It is not right. People should be put away for hurting them. These animals are endangered and need help being protected. I would love to own a wolf some day and I plan to. There is so much to learn about them. I can't wait till I can finally see one in person. I wish there was something I could do to help them.

The rescue charge to adopt is usually the vet costs for that particular animal. A rescuer loses money on every animal they rescue. For instance, I went through $40,000.00 in just under 2 years on rescue without refund of any of that. That was food, crates, collars, vaccinations, medications, supplements to get them healthy again, transport to either they new home or to another transporter if it is some distance. They vet charges for adoption fee was simply for alteration (spay/neuter).

they have short rounded ears, very very furry, long long legs, long toes-you won't see knuckles, tail is straight, foxy and only comes to the back knee. Narrow chest, occidental eye set, no stop, black lips and nose, triangular shaped head and a gait that is so smooth they seem to glide. Back foot will fall into where the front foot was.

I actually don't know what she is because she's from a shelter. I just think she looks like a Sheltie/Corgie mix.

At 19, you're still very young. But you sound very much like you've got your head together. When I was 19, I moved out of my home in Florida and up to Chicago. I stayed with a friend's family for a little while. It was very hard for a few years and unfortunately I rented an apartment until about 2 years ago. Lots of wasted money. Between going back to school to get my Bachelors and then my Masters, many bad credit decisions, it took me a few years after graduation to get everything to the point I could buy a house. I applaud your efforts to have your own place. That's quite an acomplishment. Make long term goals and plan ahead. When those goals become real and pat yourself on the back each and every time. That's what my accounting degree taught me. Long term planning and budgeting within my means. Keep moving forward and watching your finances. Are you going to college? If not, any plans? You have my encouragement.
Tracy.

Thank you! I know I have a lot of pictures, but I guess thats what happens when you have to much to take pictures of! We live in a very Rural part of WA and it's been awesome. You live in TN? Are you more rural or city? I've been to TN once, pretty country! It was a long time ago though but I do remember how pretty it was. Congratz too on the fairly new marriage :) My husband and I just past the two year mark...it's been quite a change! We don't have any human babies either yet, but what we lack in human babies we made up for in furry ones! We have 5 dogs, 2 cats (we have a cat right now trying to adopt our barn...so maybe 3 cats), and 3 horses...I think both of our families would prefer us having children, but will settle for fur kids for now ;) Well it's quite late for me (I know it's later for you though!) and I should get to bed. It was nice talking to you :) Take care and good night!

Thanks for the photo comment...that's my Rockie boy (we think he's no more than 75% Timberwolf) I found him at an animal shelter in my home town MT. He had been there for 7 months and was on doggy death row...I just couldn't let him die! I met with him in an "meeting pen" he came over to me and pushed me over and climbed in my lap...that was it for me! He's been great, he does have to be reminded on occasion I am the pack leader...however he IS the enforcer of the pack and that's ok with me! :)

Jenny, yes he did. My husband went over and helped him. The dogs were thrilled. They had all that extra room to run and now they can potty away from where they eat and sleep. lol lol And they haven't tried to escape since then.
