Profile Information

My website or blog:
http://my.care2.com/tylerjo
Proud pet parent of:
2 dogs named....Missy Lynn and Haven Marie.

3 cats named...Willow,K-Ling and Cherokee.
How we met:
My dog Sarah Beth is a rescue pup from the pound German Shepard/Lab and she's between 8 and 10 months old and she's a pretty big size pup that thinks she's only a little 5 pound pup and my other dog (Haven Marie) was a stray that found me and on a very cold stormy night she flew in the front door as I was coming into the house with my children and she's been with us ever since. She got her name because she took haven from the storm so we named her Haven Marie. My 3 cats found me and adopted me as well...I rescued my cat K-Ling out of a tree after being chased up there by a neighborhood dog.K-Ling was a stray that wandered into my yard.

My cat Willow was a stray as well and lived in the sewer across the road from my house.

And last but not least in Baby...I found here on the coldest night of the winter huddled in my back yard swing trying to get shelter from the ice and snow that was coming down.I almost did'nt find her because she's as white as the snow was.
Pet likes:
A lil bit of everything.
Pet dislikes:
Loud noises and mean people.

Anyone leaving them behind when we go somewhere.
Pet’s favorite spot:
My bed or lying on any part of my body. They are always glued to me when they know i'm sick or worried about anything.Or when they are sick as well...They just seem to know when things are'nt what they should be
Pet’s favorite toy:
Balls and pull toys are what my dogs perfer as well as old socks tied in a knot.

My cats love it when you play with a flash light and shine it everywhere so they can chase it.
Pet’s silliest habit:
They all get goofy when it's time for bed.

My pup Sarah likes to dive out windows after Raccoons that she sees in the yard...It's pretty silly and she also gets into trouble and the look on her face when she's caught is even sillier.

My other dog thinks she's mommy to the children as well as my other pets.

My cats are the silliest when they think they're dogs and tries to eat dog biscuits and the dogs rawhide treats.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When they're sleeping and protecting the kids.
I crack up when my pet:
I get their toys and play with them.
It's also really funny when my dog Haven is so totally pretending that she does'nt like Sarah our new pup around...We know she's crazy over her because when no one's looking she cuddles up with her and give her doggie kisses everywhere, lol.
My pet is unique because:
They all have they're own personalities and they are as different as night and day. They are treated like my children because they are just like my childen. My cats think they're dogs and my dogs tend to think they're cats...It's so cool.

~*SEND A RESUE PERSON*~

Once I was a lonely dog,
Just looking for a home.
I had no place to go,
No one to call my own.

I wandered up and down the streets,
in rain in heat and snow.
I ate what ever I could find,
I was always on the go.

My skin would itch, my feet were sore,
My body ached with pain.
And no one stopped to give a pat
Or to gently say my name.

I never saw a loving glance,
I was always on the run.
For people thought that hurting me
was really lots of fun.

And then one day I heard a voice
So gentle, kind and sweet,
And arms so soft reached down to me
And took me off my feet.

"No one again will hurt you
Was whispered in my ear."
"You'll have a home to call your own
where you will know no fear"

"You will be dry, you will be warm,
you'll have enough to eat"
"And rest assured that when you sleep,
your dreams will all be sweet".

I was afraid I must admit,
I've lived so long in fear.
I can't remember when I let
A human come so near.

And as she tended to my wounds
And bathed and brushed my fur
She told me bout the rescue group
And what it meant to her.

She said, "We are a circle,
A line that never ends".
"And in the center there is you
protected by new friends".

"And all around you are
the ones that check the pounds,
And those that share their home
after you've been found".

"And all the other folk
are searching near and far.
"To find the perfect home for you,
where you can be a star".

She said, "There is a family,
that's waiting patiently,
and pretty soon we'll find them,
just you wait and see".

"And then they'll join our circle
they'll help to make it grow,
so there'll be room for more like you,
who have no place to go".

I waited very patiently,
The days they came and went.
Today's the day I thought,
my family will be sent.

Then just when I began to think
It wasn't meant to be,
there were people standing there
just gazing down at me.

I knew them in a heart beat,
I could tell they felt it too.
They said, "We have been waiting
for a special dog like you".

Now every night I say a prayer
to all the gods that be.
"Thank you for the life I live
and all you've given me.

But most of all protect the dogs
in the pound and on the street.
And send a Rescue Person
to lift them off their feet".

♥´¯`•.¸¸.♥ƸӜƷ The Truth About Wolves ♥´¯`•.¸¸.♥ƸӜƷ

Tim A. Dotson

The truth about wolves...
is something that many people may not want to hear...
because man is the only reason that wolves don't live in peace.
The truth about wolves...
is that when a wolf kills a sheep, that is grazing in a pasture,
it does it only to survive...
But man sees it has a plague that must be eliminated...
only man is allowed to kill the sheep...
and man does it by the thousands, but not to survive,
only because he can.
The truth about wolves...
is that when wolves fight with other wolves...
only the leaders of the packs fight with each other,
the leaders don't send others to fight their battles,
but mans leaders are cowards who send out others to fight their wars.
The truth about wolves...
is that wolves try and stay as far away from man as possible...
all they want is their own territory, and no more,
but man will not allow them this...
man continues to spread out,
cutting down forests,
building cities in their stead,
and killing wolves as they go.
The truth about wolves...
is that the only reason they might kill a man...
is so man does not kill them.
The truth about wolves...
is that man could learn a lot from them,
if only man would watch.
The truth about wolves...
is that they are superior to man.
If you disagree, answer this...
Who will start wars, that will kill thousands, over some land?
Who will hate someone for how they look, or their beliefs?
Who will kill for no real reason?
Who is never satisfied with what they have?
The truth about wolves...
is though man may think he has more intelligence then them...
wolves live better lives.
The truth is...
that until man can live in peace with wolves...
wolves are superior.

♥´¯`•.¸¸.♥ƸӜƷ The Alaskan Wolf's Cry ♥´¯`•.¸¸.♥ƸӜƷ

Alone I wander, alone I sleep,
Alone I hunt and alone I sing.

All alone, all alone, all alone.
But I was not always alone, no, not always.

Once there was a pack, and pups, and a mate.
And together we hunted, wandered and played.

Then down from the sky came the airplane,
And with pounding hearts we ran for the trees.

But the plain swooped down on us like a great bird of prey,
While the humans inside fired away.

One by one my fellow wolves fell,
Twisting and crying, their blood staining the snow.

Running at my side my mate was shot down,
Letting out a yelp as she hit the ground.

Safe in the trees I turned my head,
To see my packmates all lying dead.

Only then did the humans land their plain,
To pose for some pictures by the wolves they had slain.

Those humans took everything from me that day,
Breaking my heart and crushing my spirit along the way.

Now wandering alone, though the night, I whimper and sigh,
Thinking one word over and over: WHY?

Someone out there, hear my lonely cry,
And tell me, please, why do you want us to die?

One last glance from golden eyes

One last song, a howling cry

One last Wolf stands here alone

One last forest that he owned

One last breath that he drew.

One last thought as if he knew

One last run through his forest trails

One last night as the silver moon pales

One last chance to save and give

One last hope to help live.

One last fight and daring try

One last glance from Golden Eyes

♥´¯`•.¸¸.♥ƸӜƷ Silent Passage ♥´¯`•.¸¸.♥ƸӜƷ

On It's journey to extinction

a Wolf pauses and looks

back on those that are helping

with that journey. There is no

malice in the Wolf's eyes.

Rather, there is a hint of

tragic understanding and an instinctive intelligence that knows that

all species, including mankind, will disappear from It's environment

when that environment is altered by a stronger force.

The world will be a poorer place if the Wolf passes in history.

The Wolf whispers to my soul
silently from the night.
Telling me a mourning tale
of a tragic end in site.
An end to all of wolfkind
it seems will be their fate
but together we can change
before it becomes too late.

It whispers to my soul again
singing me a song
that carries on the breeze
while I quietly tag along.
A song of love and loyalty
so often misunderstood
the haunting songs still echoes
like no other ever could.

The tenderness and sorrow.
The joyous call of the pack.
Let us join together
AND BRING THE WOLF PACK BACK!

Native American Lore

I wanted to give something of my past to my grandson. So I took him into the woods, to a quiet spot. Seated at my feet he listened as I told him of the powers that were given to each creature. He moved not a muscle as I explained how the woods had always provided us with food, homes, comfort, and religion. He was awed when I related to him how the wolf became our guardian, and when I told him that I would sing the sacred wolf song over him, he was overjoyed. In my song, I appealed to the wolf to come and preside over us while I would perform the wolf ceremony so that the bondage between my grandson and the wolf would be lifelong. I sang.

In my voice was the hope that clings to every heartbeat. I sang.

In my words were the powers I inherited from my forefathers. I sang.

In my cupped hands lay a spruce seed -- the link to creation. I sang.

In my eyes sparkled love. I sang.

And the song floated on the sun's rays from tree to tree.

When I had ended, it was if the whole world listened with us to hear the wolf's reply. We waited a long time but none came. Again I sang, humbly but as invitingly as I could, until my throat ached and my voice gave out.

All of a sudden I realized why no wolves had heard my sacred song. There were none left! My heart filled with tears. I could no longer give my grandson faith in the past, our past.

At last I could whisper to him: "It is finished!" "Can I go home now?" He asked, checking his watch to see if he would still be in time to catch his favorite program on TV. I watched him disappear and wept in silence. All is finished!
