Thanks for the compliment to the kids.. Axel is my newest rescue. Your cat looks like a siamese mix that I used to have.. her name was velcro. She didn't know how to retract her claws for the first couple years of her life. LOL

This behavior may be territorial or it could be more.
How old is she now?
Because of her possible abandonment issues, she may be afraid that she will not get enough to eat.
