2 shelter dogs.
Tess the Min pin and Shandon the Great Pyreness
How we met:
We met both at shelters.
We got Tess when she was just released for adoption and Shandon we got a few hours before she was to be Euthanized.
Pet likes:
Romping in the yard.
Car rides.
Rawhides.
Napping on the deck and couches.
Pet dislikes:
Birds that fly into the yard.
Shandon is a chaser by nature and recently taught Tess to chase as well..kinda cute.
Oh and Baths.
Pet’s favorite spot:
The couch and food bowls.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Rawhides.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Shandon likes to roll down our back hill.
And when Tess needs to go out she will grab my shoes and bring them to me then go to the door and tug at her leash.
Shes a smartie.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When we come home from work..all the love we get and when they are curled up napping.
I crack up when my pet:
When they get to wrestling together in the backyard. And when shandon has her bone about gone, Tess will stick her head in Shandons mouth to get it and finish the job.
Was kinda scary the first time she did this but its quite funny now.
My pet is unique because:
They have come a long way since their shelter days.
both were severely underweight and not very well socialized.
It just goes to show you what a little love and patience can do to the life of an animal.
Cant imagine a day without them.
Thanks to all our friends and their animals that lent their time and patience in making Shandon and Tess the well adjusted little ladies they are today.

Do Great Pyrs lose their hair in clumps come summer time? or am I looking at a vitamin deficiency?, stress? or mange? any advice from fellow Pyr owners greatly appreciated.
Hi Tara! I'm doing the same with limiting the carrots and apples - in fact I've totally cut them out for the moment as my rabbit is on a diet. It's not doing much good as she's still a bit podgy! Ha ha! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets…

Welcome to the community! You have two beautiful dogs. We were thinking of a Great Pyrenees for our next addition.
