It saddens me that so many people are still paying hundreds and/or thousands of dollars for "pure bred" dogs and cats when there are so many animals in shelters who need loving families and safe environments... but what sickens me are all the people…

I want to hear back from people who think that not enough people are adopting animals. There are so many lovable cats and dogs sitting in cages at your local pounds that are looking for loving homes.

Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
Jasmine, a rescued Maine Coon
How we met:
a friend adopted Jasmine from a TNR program in Swansea, MA and found that Jasmine cannot live in a house with other cats. I was glad to take her home with me and could not imagine life without her now.
Pet likes:
getting treats, being scritched on her head, open windows, having her whole family home with her.
Pet dislikes:
being alone, closed doors, other cats in her space.
Pet’s favorite spot:
anywhere and everywhere she can get into, onto or under in the house.
Pet’s favorite toy:
catnip, her family.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Singing to her "baby".
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Jasmine sleeps on her back with her front paws curled up on her chest and her back paws stuck straight up in the air. She gets this adorable sleepy kitty look when she's tired.
I crack up when my pet:
rolls around in catnip and chases her own tail around.
My pet is unique because:
She has her own "baby"... a beany baby puppy she stole from among my stuffed animals. She carries it around in her mouth the way mother cats do with their young, singing to it or just talking to it. I've told her vet about this, and he has told me this is not something cats do!

i have never heard of pit bulls having brain damage the only reason a pit would attack anyone or anything is because of the ignorence of its owner and how its trained if you take any big dog and treat it like some people treat pits they will attack…

We were talking about that over dinner. That was unreal!! To me, it's a game, they play to win.. period. If they get injured.. so be it, they are paid to play. My son thinks they were avoiding another team in the playoffs.. so they purposely lost.…
