Cooking the egg as some might do first kills the esential enzymes required by the digestive tract of cats and dogs. The worry of ecoli and salmanella for cats and dogs is a non-issue due to their digestive process being much faster then we humans. E…
I disagree with some of the comments left here. Cats are not meant to eat carbohydrates and vegetable proteins you find in dry food and a lot of canned food There is a lot to be said on feeding cats raw protein that are prepare properly I found this…
Stephanie, First I'm glad to hear that you've taken an interest in trying to keep Justine and Miranda together. It shows that you've got a kind and giving heart so as to allow them to remain together. It will go a long way in winning Miranda over wh…
Kevin , these are all good tips and should help and I especially agree with trying to slowly feed him on the desk and then on the floor with the other two away for a while and slowly bringing them together again one at a time. This is crucial so as…
I know it's little comfort to keep hearing it over and over again but my heart pours out to you. Take solice in knowing that God will bless those who give in a caring and unselfish and loving way as you have, even if the ones to whom we give are onl…
Hi Diane, mixing can and dry is fine as long as you find something in the can variety he likes, otherwise mixing may prove to be counter productive if he doesn't like the wet food. What is it that you are trying as far as the wet food. I did mix for…
Hi, I've read everyone's replies and as the old saying goes but not always true "time heals old wounds", time is one answer and probably the most important one along with, yes patience. Unfortunately not everyone has got either or both for that mate…
It's stories like these that anger me to no end. To think that people could actually accomplish these cruel and sad misgivings to helpless animal that counted on the same hands that beat and torchered them for their daily needs.
Oh-my-gosh, I can believe what I'm reading and seeing, I can't help but to cry for these poor dogs. Dear lord, if ever I make it financially so that I may do something about things like what I'm seeing here on these pages, I pray that you would give…
Why thank you Daniel for the kind comment. I am sorry to hear you had to give up your cat. Especially when it did not work out. That must really hurt bigtime. He is a beautiful cat. As for the allergy thing, I've found that the majority of people are allergic to cats. Me? I'm allergic to them, but I opted for allergy shots to make me less sensitive. It worked. With new cats, I still sniffle, sneeze, and wheeze for a month or so, but then I adjust to their dander and I'm ok. Keep this in mind next time. Often, immunities are built up over time.
Yeah, my current three are all Maine Coons. Two are from Breeders and the third and last one is from a shelter. I believe he was given up because he is an avid biter, probably because of the front declaw thing. He also does not like small children, most likely the other reason. Great for us, being an adult only home. But knowing and respecting his issues, we have established a great relationship with him and he has blossomed into an awesome Maine Coon. And I did sneeze and wheeze around him for about 6-8 weeks before I became immune to him. I expected that. All three are very cool and so different. My female is absolutely obnoxious sometimes, and sometimes the sweetest little thing on earth. The other male is quite feral and a mighty hunter. I think he is a "throwback" to a wilder version of domestic cats. I've had him since he was only 2.5 months old, but even then he was very, very anti-human. I used to call him my autistic kitty. As he has gotten older, he is still a vicious killer, but has found a very tender side that wants and needs human affection. Like I said, all are very different and very cool.
Sorrry to hear about your loss. You gave him the best life you could. He was gorgeous. I know how that feels. Your little man will always be with you. Rest In Peace oliver. My condolences for your dog oliver/
Dearest Belles & Bobbie..
I seriously doubt they would consider using the money that was raised for Bosco to help make up for the ingnorance of our city's leaders spending habits. They would be in a world of shit I'm sure. Too many people know how…
You need all the sourpusses you can get if you want money from them. Any fundraiser knows this. And any good fund raiser realizes that if you isolate anyone, even the difficult ones - you will never get a dime. I've had the most difficult of people…
