Leslie..I am SO sorry I am just replying to your need. I broke both feet, and then my 7 year old archie got tore up by a raccoon. there is a fund called the Bummer ( sp?) fund in Youngstown that helps pet owners in need. you have to get a diagnosos…
Nerml the love cat and Archie, destroyer of chipmunks. Our angel cats, Orange Cat, Elektron, and Amber watch over upon us and wait at the Bridge.
How we met:
At the local Shelter, of course! Elektron was named on sight because he filled all the space available, dependent on temperature and pressure. (LOL) All our kitties have been rescues. When Orange Cat (I know, a seriously inventive name) passed away, we needed 2 cats to fill the hole left in our lives. I do kennel work at the local shelter and want to bring all my baby kitties home!
Pet likes:
Werever we have lived, we have built a cage on a 4'x8'sheet of plywood up on stilts that they can access through a cat flap. In one house, the cage was out the window on the third floor! The squirrels in the trees would chatter at the cats. They love to go in and out on their own schedule. On soft summer nights they sleep out on the shelf. In the winter we shovel the cage from inside and put up some plastic so the wind isn't so bad.
Nerml's favorite thing to do is eat lots of dry food, drink water and barf on mom's side of the bed :>)
They have a privacy fenced backyard to go out in with a catnip garden and a brick patio to soak up the sun on. In the winter we put out a shelter made from 2 windows from my cold frame propped together like a tent with a heated pad to lay on.
Pet dislikes:
Archie dosen't like dogs. One time,a friend brought his dog into the backyard and Archie was hiding in the bushes. The pup wanted to play, but Arch came at him. He puffed up to about twice his size!
Pet’s favorite spot:
The boys have several spots inside and out. Snuggled with us on the bed is the favorite spot for nighttime, and the recliners are a fave daytime spot.
Outside, the whole backyard are their favorite spots.
Pet’s favorite toy:
A battery operated cat on wheels that randomly spins a mouse on a stick. The cat is remote controlled and spins and runs across the floor.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Nerml sleeps with his tounge sticking out just a bit. He looks so funny!
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When Nerml and Archie finally decided to like each other and sleep side-by-side now.
My pet is unique because:
...when U NEAK up on him he meows

Archie, our 8 year old golden tabby is in his second year of rescue. He seems to be settling in and is not afraid of everything that moves or makes a noise. It has always been safe to go outside in the wood fenced yard. We had some laborers take down some trees. They knocked a couple of fence slats loose and did not fix them.
I opened the kitty/human door to the fenced area and both kits went out. About a half hour Archie came howling outside of our front door - we didn't know he was gone! I cannot believe this adoptee got loose and promptly came to his front door and demanded to be let in!! We checked for nerml, but he was sleeping in his bed.The things our kitties put us through!
And i truly thank you for thoose kinds words... in you the light may it way known..thank you for saying that you made me smile.. Peace be with you my Friend.

So welcome and I hope you make friends and please NOTE that if you need moral support here is a group to join that can give you the best advice possible http://aspcacommunity.ning.com/group/start

it all depends on what you do with her if you work with her and retrain her then she won't attack any one but i would be careful because she still rembers what he trained her to do so it'll take alot of work to retrain her.
