My dog Lexi was killed in a fire intentionally set by my ex landlord for insurance money. Several days later when I couldn't go on without the love of a dog, I found her at the local Humane Society in Walden NY.
Unfortunately Sheba passed away from Liver failure and congestive heart failure on August 31, 2009. I just adopted Chloe, a Rottie from the Brooklyn BY ACC. She's a senior Rottie.
Pet likes:

Thanks so much for joining "Therapy Dogs". I hope that you will enjoy the videos and discussion groups. Please feel free to browse some of the links to many of the national organizations that register and train therapy animal teams. I belong to Delta Society's Pet Partners, but they are all wonderful groups. The links can be found on the "Therapy Dogs" page just above the videos.
I'm very sorry to hear about Sheba's bone cancer. I will be keeping her in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. She looks like such a sweet baby!
Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information regarding animal therapy or how to get started.
Yes...I will join Therapy Dogs. I've often been told that my Sheba should be a therapy animal. She's very good with the elderly and children. She was diagnosed with bone cancer in her foot today. She'll have her toe amputated Monday. What you did for Lenny is just awesome! We need more people in the world like you!
Just a quick note to say hello and thanks for the comment on the rescue train thread regarding Lenny. He is a sweet boy and I hope he finds a forever home very soon!
Also, I wanted to invite you to visit my discussion group called "Therapy Dogs". Perhaps you or someone you know would be interested in joining and getting involved in Animal Assited Therapy. It is a really great program.
Hi Denise, I just got off the phone with Caroline and we lost the remainder of the St. Bernard puppies this morning. There were 4 left. She said she pulled what she had the room for, but she didn't receive enough in donations to even cover the cost of a used kennel and couldn't save them all. She has half of what was there. I know she is still concerned for the 2 pitbull puppies and the 8 wk old lab puppy. Just wanted to touch base with you.
I agree about the lack of postings. I recently signed up in the hopes to have some wonderful discussions about Gsd but I have not seen the thought provoking conversations I know we all wish for.
So here is what I have been working on with my Gsd's-…
The pups are doing great. There are 2 boys and 1 girl. It was a small litter but that's ok. Here last litter was of 7. I am looking for another female to breed with my male this summer.
funny thing is i have seen more agressive little dogs then i do with bigger and med sized dogs. my sister was chased by 10 wennie dogs and was bitten. she to this day is scared to death, in tears freaking out and crying becuz there is a little dog.…
