Profile Information

My website or blog:

Proud pet parent of:
Prissy...adopted 7 yrs ago..her owners did not want her because she was female. Calab...passed away a couple of weeks ago...he is my precious memory. Gizmo...adopted 1 yr ago..my pretty little man.
How we met:
"I'll lend you for a little time a dog of mine" he said.
"For you to love while he lives and mourn for when he's dead".

It maybe six or seven years or maybe more than these, but will you, till I
call him back, take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charm to gladden you, and should his stay be brief, you'll
have his memories, as solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return, but there are
lessons taught down there, I want this dog to learn.

I've looked this wide world over, in my search for teachers true, and from
the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.

Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labour vain, nor hate me
when I come to call, and take him back again?

I fancied that I heard them say "Dear Lord, thy will be done", for all the
joy thy dog shall bring, for the risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may, and for the
happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

But should the angels call for him, we'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
and try to understand.
Pet likes:
ME...they love being outside..chasing birds or anything else they think they can catch...they love to visit family members...they love sleeping beside me.
Pet dislikes:
Sometimes each other...having to be scolded for misbehaving.
Pet’s favorite spot:
In the daytime..they love being outside..but only do I allow this for short periods of time...at night...they love being beside me.
Pet’s favorite toy:
anything stuffed or sqeaky.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Prissy loves to touch...she will just sit and stare at me ...when I stare back ...she locks in...by the way..she always wins....Gizmo..well..he is just silly all the time..he is young and full of energy.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Prissy loves to lay her head again my chest...she loves to be touched...but not held...not sure why...but she is very kind and loving..Gizmo...like for me to hold him and baby him..even using baby words he will go to sleep...
I crack up when my pet:
Think they can actually catch a bird..or a squirrel....Gizmo esp..he thinks he is a hunter..that wennier can move ...
My pet is unique because:
Prissy and Gizmo are unique because they are mine. Their unconditional love and dedication to me in my senior years gives me something to look forward toward. They are healthy, sweet spirited and precious.

Be a Voice

Heaven is by favor, if it were by merit your dog would go in & you would stay out. Of all the creatures ever made, man is the most detestable. Of the entire brood, he is the only one...that possesses malice. He is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain...... ......Mark Twain

Stop animal abuse and puppy mills...every creature born should be one planned and wanted. Know this...child abusers usually start off as animal abusers...we have to start from the beginnin… Continue

A little about me and life.

When my mother passed away in the fall of 1998, I was not as strong as I always thought I would be. She was my best friend, my rock. She live a wonderful life even though at times it was a hard life. I am one of 5 children. Times were not easy for us..but my memories of the most loving and kind parents will forever stay in my heart and mind. We were raised with pure love, not things, not spoiled with material things..but overflow of love. Precious was those times. I pray heaven has a place where… Continue

awe... your doxie looks like ours, and our former brownie doxie. They are so great.
Thanks for the kind words. It didnt offent me... I respect everyone's views. The odd part of that blurb was the end though... sheep are actually not smelly and dirty. I know for sure that all creatures, large and small, have souls... and they have always had them, Jesus or not. I do understand it was a metaphor though.
Thanks again.
take care

I thought this was a rather cute and fitting poem for those who share their homes with their animals.

These are our dogs
This is their home
from which we hope
they'll never roam

They're faithful friends
we love them best.
This is their home
you are a guest

If dogs to you
are just a peeve
Then by all means
feel free to leave.
