- Proud pet parent of:
- 4 pekingese dogs
- How we met:
- We bought one from a family that was no longer able to care for her. I rescued a peke to keep the first dog company. The last 2 I started off fostering for the rescue group I volunteered for and ended up keeping them.
- Pet likes:
- All love to go on walks. The boys like to bark at the next door neighbor dog. Of course sleeping and being cuddled.
- Pet dislikes:
- Loud noises like th July 4th fire works.
- Pet’s favorite spot:
- Anywhere I am. Otherwise on their covered dog mattress.
- Pet’s favorite toy:
- Bouje loves his small squeeky toys.
- Pet’s silliest habit:
- Bouje loves to hide his toys in the back yard. He must have close to 50 toys hiden so well I cannot find them to bring them in. So I just get more toys.
I also love their snorty noises they make.
- Pet’s sweetest moments:
- I love Furbie sleeping next to me on a pillow. Also,love to play with Bouje with his toys. Mitzie and Bailey are just sweet all the time.
- I crack up when my pet:
- Furbie howls and get the other dogs to howl with her. Bouje tries to howl but just makes cute noises
- My pet is unique because:
- They are Pekingese, and are wonderful to be with, never a dull moment!

- Hi Ellen , yes the pills can be tricky, sometimes just putting it in and ditstracting them can do the trick ! so they swollow it without being aware of it so to speak, I took care of one dog like that ! did not like those pills ! Hope this helps

Pierce said… - You know, I'm on my third laminate floor & I've had nothing but bad luck with them. Not saying they are cheap grade, I've just never had good luck with them. Seem's like I've always had some sort of water problem, where they will buckle & raise up. And I've always wiped up any spills immediately. The first was a leaky icemaker hose on the fridge. Second was a busted pipe under the floor, & here I just put one in our new house about a year ago. I had one of the dog's beds sitting on it. The bed has plastic on the bottom, somehow it got damp under there???? & buckled the edges of the floor. One of these days I'll learn, Ha!
Yeah my poor cat. And I always thought she'd outlive all of the pets. I still can't believe she's gone. I really can't blame Lucy, the dog, for doing it, that is if she was the one. There was some strays running around here at the time. It could have been one of them. Anyway, the dog is just being a dog doing what naturally comes to them. Some dogs don't like cats & some do, it's just in the blood.

- Yep flu season is here even in the desert my brother has been sick for a couple of weeks ! yes sooo glad my puter is fixed !! woohoo !!Glad the babies are liking the doggie day care ! they are soo precious ! Its getting back up to 98 again tomarrow ! then should be coolin down a little by next week !! Got some really cool pix ! put up a hummingbirds feeder, and the little honey bees like it too ! take care my friend many hugs to you and your doggies ! :D

Yes I took a nature walk today !! love it ! thank God it's a little cooler! my puter needed a new battery, and the top part got replaced ! now she's running well ! woohoo !

- it's cold here already... been in the upper 50's the last week, and dipping clear down into the 30's at night. even had one night of frost already. I hate to see summer go, but I enjoy the break from all the farm work too. LOL

- Thanks for thinking about me & staying in touch. I am SO sorry to hear about the loss of your Bailey. I guess people who don't own pets have any idea the heartbreaking pain that gos with it. It can be worse than losing a loved one sometimes. Yeah I lost my Caet. Found a starving abandoned dog, couldn't leave her, brought her home & a few days later Caet turns up dead. I'm about 95% sure that the dog did it...but there's always the other 5% so I'm giving her the benefit of the doupt, After looking & searching for a shelter & home for her with no luck, she's still here, probably will be . Stay in touch
