Proud pet parent of:
Queenie, Stripe and Dusty and BooBoo

Image150-A

How we met:
I found Queenie when she was a kitten, only a few days old. Her eyes were almost completely swolen shut from what I found out was a severe upper respiratory virus, which caused her eyes to swell shut with pus. I took her to the vet, gave her her medicines, plenty of love, and today she is my little miracle Cat. Now she has two babies of her own.
Pet likes:
Love cats, small dogs, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs...etc...animals are our 'kids' too!
Pet dislikes:
None really except for snakes, spiders (ie: tarantulas/black widows), pigs, any kind of lizzard...you know not considered "normal" house pets.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Cuddling up with her babies on our living room sofa!
Pet’s favorite toy:
anything like a ball...like balls of aluminum foil, paper balls, her plastic balls with bells inside
Pet’s silliest habit:
stretching up and scratching at the paneling in the living room when she thinks she hears a mouse...!
Pet’s sweetest moments:
nursing her babies when they were younger.
I crack up when my pet:
Chases balls of paper or aluminum foil around the house and gets the baby BooBoo involved...all hell breaks loose...!
My pet is unique because:
Queenie is considered my "miracle kitten". When I found her it was amazing that she was able to see anything at all. According to the veterinarian, she had a severe upper respiratory and eye infection which was usually proven fatal in kittens her age...but I guess TLC and proper medications saved her for us to love..!

My Family Of Cats............

cat-tounge-full
CATYAWNS
IT STARTED WHEN I WAS 6 YRS OLD. MY FIRST CAT WAS NAMED SNEAKERS, BECAUSE HE HAD TORTOISE STRIPES BUT ALL OF HIS FEET WERE WHITE. THEN, AS I GOT OLDER, I ADOPTED TIGER, AND STRAWBERRY (WHO WAS AN ORANGE AND WHITE TABBY). ALL OF OUR CATS IN MY FAMILY WERE MALE. AS I GOT OLDER, SNEAKERS PASSED AT AGE 15 OF OLD AGE, AND STRAWBERRY WENT MISSING FOR A FEW DAYS. HE CAME BACK HOME ONLY TO BE FOUND BY MY MOTHER RIGHT NEAR THEIR OUTSIDE CARPETED HOUSE (MY DAD MADE IT FOR THEM)...AND WE FOUND OUT LATER HE WAS POISONED.

THEN, IN LATER YEARS, I HAD DUSTY (A HALF PERSIAN/SIAMESE MALE), RUSTY, AND PETEY, PETEY FELL ILL AFTER I HAD BEEN MARRIED TO MY NOW EX FOR ALMOST 10 YRS..WE FOUND HE HAD DEVELOPED A FELINE VERSION OF HODGKINS DISEASE. WE SPENT ALMOST $4,000.00 TO TAKE HIM TO THE UNIV OF PA VETERINARY CLINIC...AND HIS LAST WEEK ON EARTH WAS SPENT AT HOME WITH US. RUSTY DIED...HE HAD GOTTEN SICK BUT WITH WHAT THE VET WAS NOT SURE. HE PASSED IN HIS SLEEP. SO, WE ADOPTED ZOOT AND DIZZY...WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE FEMALES FROM THE SPCA NEAR OUR HOME. DUSTY AND THE OTHER TWO WERE GREAT COMPANY, AND DUSTY DIED AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 21...! WE THEN ADOPTED A CAT NAMED MAX...I GOT HIM FROM A CO-WORKER WHO WAS BREEDING MEDIUM HAIRED MIXES ...AND HE WAS A LOVER CAT...! HE TURNED OUT TO BE THE BIGGEST CAT I EVER HAD...AT 21 LBS...BUT HE WAS AS GENTLE AS A FEATHER...! NOW I HAVE QUEENIE, AND HER BABIES, BUT THE FATHER (WHO MY FIANCEE AND I HAD) BERNIE DISAPPEARED. WE HAVE NOT SEEN HIM SINCE. CATS ARE MY CHILDREN, AND THEY AND ALL PETS BRING UNCONDITIONAL LOVE...RARELY FOUND IN HUMANS!

Hi Tara! I'm doing the same with limiting the carrots and apples - in fact I've totally cut them out for the moment as my rabbit is on a diet. It's not doing much good as she's still a bit podgy! Ha ha! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets…
