- How we met:
- Miracle, Samson and Nellie were miracles. As my daughter sit sobbing on the sofa praying for a miracle because the vet had called us in to tell " Sam"her golden bye. It was incomprehensable that he could be dying he was so loved , a close family member, a constant companion and joy.
A tiny golden colored puppy showed up at our door. We where grieving and numb. We found her owners a mile away! The moma had two more looked just like her.
Of course they were the last things on our mind at that time, but after a few weeks. We went back just to see them. They were about to be taken to the shelter. They came home with us. Those precious puppies have somehow helped us in Sams loss. I believe they were God sent. The one that showed up that day is Miracle.

A little girl in our town learned that a child has lost her golden retriever to antifreeze poison. Now this little girl wanted to do something. Having her own golden "Sadie" she knew how attached someone her age to get to a dog and she couldn't imagine if she lost "Sadie'.
"Dad" Kayla said, we have to do something, If Sadie ever has puppies, I want to give one to Haley.
Now kayla didn't know Haley or even how to get in touch with her , but at the county fair where Haley had a booth trying to get signatures on a petition to make antifreeze bitter. The little girls dad approached me. "If our golden ever has puppies, I want to give one to Haley."
We just assumed they were being nice, and still grieving for Sam didn't give the offer much thought.
In April this year exactly one year after losing Sam the phone rang. I want Haley to have her pick of the liter the little girl said.
Haley held each puppy, taking a long time to choose. She wanted a female, which narrowed her choices. She finally picked one and named her "Violet".
Haley was happy and so was Kayla. AKC puppies are a few hundred dollars. Haley got one for free. But the joy it gave her new friend Kayla and Kayla's whole family- wee, you can't put a price on that. This is excerpts from an article that our local paper ran.

- Samson sometimes has a drooping elvis lip when he concentrates, just like "Sam" did.
Miracle looks at us with those imploring brown eyes as if she know all, and at times I think she does.
Nellie began as the docile one now she is very outgoing and hyper!
Diva is my problem child. Grins at us and shows teeth, but is dangerously aggressive...working on that.

Washington State Veterinary medical School estimates that 10,000 animals, including pets, wildlife, and endangered species, are poisoned by antifreeze ingestion each year.
The American Assoc. of Poison Control center, reports there were 4,392 human poisonings, and 16 % of those poisonings were children under 6.

My twelve year dog (German Shep/Lab mix) broke, rather shattered his hind leg. From an X-ray his vet diagnosed bone cancer. Upon insisting for a biopsy, they did a biospy and the biopsy results were negative for cancer. The break is around his akle.…
