I think the gross-est part of this whole throw-up thing is that if I don't find it in time, one of my others will EAT it. So bizzare.
I'm currently trying to convert them all over to a more natural, meat based diet. I've been having trouble finding places that carry products like EVO. And the conversion has to be done gradually so it will not upset their systems. It has no grains or fillers. One male is overweight (if it's not tied down, he'll eat it), one male is just right, and the female is a tad thin (she waits for the guys to finish, and then picks at the leftovers). This type of diet should improve them all.
Hi Izzy,
I am also a Maine Coon person. I currently have three. The one I'm holding in my pic passed away in 2005. My female will throw up her dry food if: she is agitated, has a hairball, or is a cheap or low-quality food. I've never had her tested for food allergies, but I've found that Royal Canin stays down better. She is a grazer, and does not inhale her food. What brands have you tried in the past? Do you feed any wet food?
Tracy.
