What a sick person(s) that would kill cats, much less in such a way. This person needs to be stopped. Perhaps justice would be to do the same to this person (?) Where is this happening?

Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
WIllow
How we met:
I adopted from a local animal rescue on Feb. 29,2008 after my beloved cat Ashley passed away.
Pet likes:
Willow loves to be brushed & her belly rubbed. Also she rolls back & forth when I brush her, it is sooo cute.
Pet dislikes:
Does not like her tail touched. Also when I bring out the vacuum, Willow jumps up on top of the Armoire in my bedroom & won't come down until she is sure the vacuum is put away!
Pet’s favorite spot:
On top of the sofa in front of the large window, so she can see all the birds & critters!!
Pet’s favorite toy:
soft fluffy mouse, she throws all over the room
Pet’s silliest habit:
Running for the cabinet where her treats are everytime I go near that spot.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When she cuddles up next to me on the bed at night.
I crack up when my pet:
Races throughout the house every morning, then crashes for a nap! She runs to the kitchen as soon as I get out of bed in the morning, so I can give her some Sheba (food). She loves this food treat, along with her regular diet.
My pet is unique because:
She is becoming more trusting & loving after being neglected & left in an apartment for five days without food or water. I firmly believe in adopting rescued animals.

Your cat, Willow, looks JUST like my cat, Gus! Here is a picture of my Gus, he is not quite a year old. I estimate that he was born around the end of September or early October. This is Gus:

Jeanette, I have this same issue. I spend $250 a year solely on the vet clipping my Katt's nails: $20 a pop. He is so terrified there, he lays immobile and lets them do it. But I don't feel that the terror he undergoes is worth it: he is shaking and I feel that someday, he will simply have a heart attack because of the stress, and the stress can trigger outbreaks of URI, which he already has. I now take him across to a friend's house, who helps me. We make no fuss, and work quickly. We wrap him tightly in a towel, all the way to the neck, and extract one leg at a time, re-wrapping the leg just done. It's difficult, since he pulls in harder than you can imagine, but it does work. I also use a regular "people" nail trimmer, not a cat/dog trimmer, since you can see more easily what you are doing.

I was reading your post about your cat not being active any more. I also noticed your from CT...hello from another CT resident as well.

Just a thought, maybe kitty needs a playmate? However, I do agree that kitty is content with his/her new home. Cats are lazy. LOL! It is what they do best. I miss my cat Milo, he passed on Christmas Day 3 years ago.
