Protect Wild Bison

After watching this video from the heart, I hope others here will want to help protect the wild buffalo in the American West. It never ceases to amaze and disgust me how selfish human beings are when it comes to sharing the world's habitat with other species.

Bear Bile Tourism in Vietnam

There is a dirty little secret in Vietnam, and it's called Korean Bear Tourism.

ENV, a wildlife watchdog group in Vietnam, has documented busloads of Korean tourists visiting bear farms where they witness a bear bile extraction, taste bear bile wine, and buy products made from bear body parts. T… Continue

Beautiful Bears
Do you know how to dream?
Of trees and rivers
Are these things you have seen?
With prayers and love
And all I can do,
A life of these dreams
My pledge to help you.

Special thanks to Erica Curtis for uploading this short 8-minute documentary on the inspiring work being performed daily at Animals Asia's bear sanctuary in Chengdu, China. The video shows bears bein… Continue

Intruders, interlopers and people with negative energy.
Pet’s favorite spot:
My pillow, my bed, the driver's seat of the van, my favorite chair, and always the wrong side of the door.
Pet’s favorite toy:
tug-a-war ropes.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Humping each other.

Resting their heads on my lap, leaning against me when standing, looking at me with soulful doleful eyes.
I crack up when my pet:

My pet is unique because:

hi,
good question about the dancing bear problem. I dont know the news. I guess I should check. I havent been online much lately.
WSPA.org should have news that we can rely on.
hope you are well and that your group is doing well too.

oh, WSPA also is fighting the dancing bear issues... check out both sites... they do a lot of great work

hey! Glad you got the code. I only noticed that when I replied to another email that had a pic in it... and saw the code there, so it was luck! haha!

Do you ever support or visit the WSPA site? They have an international site as well.
http://www.wspa-usa.org/
and
http://www.wspa-international.org/

they work on the bear bile issue a lot, in fact that is where I found out about it years ago.

They also did an action for the US bear problem for bile. Another org did too, I will try to remember which one. ANyway, the problem is that bears are being hunted just for selling them to Asia for the bear bile. Its a real problem here now.

I will look at getting those other pics to link to the ning site when I can... maybe now... have to see what is going on...

here is your poster, but it now links to your site, I can give you the code for it...

Great work. Thanks for the invite. Bear Bile farming is one of the issues I try to help with. Now, as you know, bears in the US are being hunted and poached to sell their bile. Its horrible. I do any actions for that through WSPA since not too many org's are dealing with it. I agree, adding a poster or banner on that would be very good, I will see if I can get one from WSPA or just make my own.
So, is your group on here or off site? I have a hard time getting everything I need posted on my group, so I wouldnt have any time to do much on another group here, but if its an offline thing, I would check it out.
What is it like in Costa Rica?
I do the click daily at animalrescuesite too... and all the other tabs/causes on that page. Its set as my homepage so its the first thing I do.
You can get the code for banners for them on the site. I have it saved too if you want to add it to your discussion or page.
Anyway, have a great day!!

100% agree. $30+/month for food and then you have toys, bed, scratching surfaces, immunizations, spaying/neutering, and then you have to figure in emergencies. I recently got a 'free' kitten and in the first week spent $250--luckily she was still ...
