Profile Information

My website or blog:
http://puppiesforever
Proud pet parent of:
Iching(Mongrel) Willie (Shih-Tzu Pomeranian), Sharpeah (Mongrel), Junior(Mongrel), White (Cat)
How we met:
I Ching is a dog from our farm who was raised by the care taker. She was brought to our home when I was in the fifth grade. She is old now but still very sweet and energetic. She gave birth to two puppies last March 17, 2008. I named them Junior, a male and Sharpeah, a female. Our cats came from our neighbor. They were not fed often that's why they went to our house. White is a descendant of those cats. Many of them have died, some did not go back to our house. But our house welcomes all hungry cats that knock the door. Willie is a birthday present from my boyfriend. He is the half brother of Miami, my sister's dog.
Pet likes:
I Ching likes everything, especially the smell of chocolate fudge, chocolate cupcake and all about chocolates but sorry for her Theobromine is toxic for dogs. Sharpeah and Junior likes to eat a lot like Iching
Pet dislikes:
Junior is afraid of stranger and visitors. He makes a horrible shout every time she encounters one. I Ching hates any vehicle that passes by the house. White is afraid of the neighbor's pld male cat.
Pet’s favorite spot:
School ground in front of the house.
Pet’s favorite toy:
They like to gnaw socks, and handkerchief whenever they get one. They also play with the washed laundry hanging in the cloth's line.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Junior is like a wolf he does scowling whenever he encounters a stranger...Sharpeah likes to pee on my bed..and Willie bullies cats
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When I sit with them they lick my face and scramble my hair
My pet is unique because:
They love to eat, eat, eat, eat and eat

What does uncivilized people do?-http://www.dogmeattrade.com/

It is estimated that around 500,000 dogs are killed annually in the Philippine Islands for human consumption. Eating dogs has been illegal since 1998 when RA 8485 (the Philippine Animal Welfare Act) became a law, but because of a lack of enforcement, live dogs and dog meat are sold ope… Continue

Dog Eaters in the Philippines-www.dogmeattrade.com

So who eats dog meat and where does it come from?

Although the majority of the Filipino population is against eating their dear family pet, or anyone else's for that matter, there is still a large group of people located primarily in and around Baguio City and in the Cordilleras region who partake in the eating of dog meat. This is probably because dog meat is traded so openly and because there are numerous restaurants and eateries (approximately 60) that serve dog meat.

The dogs that supply… Continue

Hi Jessamyn,
I'm happy to hear you graduated from College. What is your major? I haven't talked to you in so long I forgot.

Hi Jessamyn - Great hearing from you! Hope all is well and the working life is going great - sure sounds like it's keeping you busy! Glad you got the day off, is it a single hero or all? Likewise, I hardly ever get on here anymore. As you, too busy...and a lot of time I have on line now is job searching. Amazing but I'm still working but never know for how long - they had to get some systems worked out before they merged departments and the other department can't get theirs to work right, so I'm good until then at least. Had one offer and liked the job but it was a paycut and didn't want to take less if I don't need to...I may wish I took it :)

Jack's doing great...having a fun summer and playing with his dog friends, then taking naps!

Wow, that's terrible about Willie...that's twice now, thank God you had the atropine. You think it's the same person? That's so sad about Simon's mom...I'm sure she is at peace knowing Simon is loved and cared for....guess we think alike, noticed you typed the same thing! Chemo can take a big toll on people. I'm co-captain of a team for a fund-raiser for Leukemia and Lymphoma event called "Light The Night". We're having a raffle to raise money and getting a lot of people to walk and get donations from family/friends. I got a link to the team page on my wall.
That facebook drives me nuts, almost everytime I do something on there I get system errors. Guess I'm impatient with it :) I don't get on much though, mostly to see friends photos. Speaking of which, just saw new albums from you...I love the doggie album, the other one says office, LOL - but it looks more like you guys are having fun :) One of these days I'll do an album on there with Jacks friends...he'll have a dogbook page :)
So glad all the other pets are doing well and playing...just the way it should be!
Good for you making donations to such good causes with the increase. I do so whenever I can. Even with job unsure, I still give a little - spread to different rescues and orgs. So many good rescues all over!

Have a great day and hugs to you and Willie...Jack sends slobbers and treats!

Hi Jessamyn - great to hear from you! It's my first time on in about a month except for about 2 minutes a week ago. Been so busy like you I'm sure!
WTG! Conrgatulations on getting the job. Funny, you'll look back often at how great a time college was even though money is hard to come by as a student :) Like you say, it's the next phase of life and getting a salary makes life different! I'm so happy for you.
Willie is a lucky dog to have you, I just saw the picture of you with the book...too funny! My neighbor has a Pom and that dog needs therapy :) Her name is Cleo - she likes me, but has a love/hate thing with Jack...wants to see him then runs away barking, it's funny! Willie will be glad to get with his best buddies, but he's most happy to be with you. So sorry to hear about Iching and the puppies, I'm sure she is grieving.
That would be bad awful if swine flu hits your area...never came around me and haven't heard much about it lately. Is it still spreading a lot there? So they have political rallies mostly or is there parties and celebrating in your Independence day? Just a couple weeks away here, big celebration day here and patriotic too. Not much as for politics.
Jack's doing good - there's a litter of baby rabbits out front and it's been real hard keeping him away from them...he goes crazy! Taking him to the vet tomorrow for an ear infection - nothing major. I've been real busy, taking a summer class now. Need to get it in while I can, we've got layoffs coming soon and I'm in a department that is getting cut in half, and the decisions are made by a boss that I don't really know and others that do web development already work for him, so I'm probably one whe gets laid off....just found this out 2 weeks ago and had a vacation scheduled last week. I enjoyed my vacation anyway :) This week most of free time spent updating resume and applied for several jobs, not really much available. I have faith and know it'll all work out for the best, whatever is in the plans for me. Still a little worried about paying the bills in the short-term! One good thing is I can move anywhere in the country. it'll be a big hassle to move but I've been networking with computer managers in other cities (one is a manager in Las Vegas and that would surely be a fun place to live + no humidity!).
Sending Willie and friends a big slobber and treat from Jack!

Take Care and keep enjoying the salary :)

P.S. Great facebook photo album...you take good pictures!

Hi Jessamyn - how's everything? Likewise here, hadn't been on for a couple weeks then caught a littke break. Finals coming soon but I only have 1 class...all I could do with 50 hours work.
WTG - got the thesis completed and graduated...I'm so happy for you and proud of you. I know you put a ton of effort into it.
Amazing how Jordan and Max kept waiting, that's what makes dogs so great is their love for us humans! They feel lost w/o us (and each other in a lot of cases - the pack mentailty you mention). Sounds like they get along well with Willie too! Guess by now their Mom is home and they're happy.
Also by now - you have a diploma as of 2 days ago!!! Was it a big ceremony and party? Do enjoy it - very special time and you work that hard you have every right to be proud and take some time for you!

Hugs 2 you and Willie - Jack sends slobbers and treats.

Hey Jessamyn - I only have one cat and his name is Widdy. I used to have three cats (Blackie, Blaze and Hazel) but circumstances which were out of my control happened and I had to give them to other loving homes (which I must say broke my heart into pieces). Two of the cats went to friends and the other cat I gave to my Mom. My mom lives in California so I am able to see the cat (Hazel) when I go there to visit. The one cat that I do have now (Widdy) is very spoiled and I love him so much but I do have to admit that I REALLY miss my other cats but they are all in loving homes I am sure being spoiled and well taken care of.
