I would like to let you know Kelly that Sage the pitbull i wanted to rescue from the shelter was uthanized last night before me and my mother were able to get to the shelter. I am greiving the loss even though i didnt own her.

- I am glad that I found this group. I lost my pit Keyla almost 2 months ago and I am still having a hard time with it.She would have been 2years old Aug.26th.
My 7 year old daughter is having a very hard time sleeping without her. We were lucky enough to have her since birth, we also had her mom.Keyla was killed by our Animal control for no reason at all. We were moving and we had to put her in a kennel at my father in laws house and she got out. My husband went the next morning when we couldn't find her, and gave them all her info but he couldnt get her because the office wasnt open. He was told to come back when the office was opened and he did. He was turned away again saying that the building was on quarantine and he couldnt get her for 10 days, but they still weren't sure that we would be able to get her then.We were going out of town so we went back 2 days before quarantine was off. We told them that we would take responsibility for Keyla if she got sick, and we told that we couldnt take her ,but she would be fine and we could pick her up when we returned. When we went to pick her up they had no record of her they could only tell that she was put to sleep. They could give us a day or answer any other questions we had for them. We are in the process of taking them to court. I dont know what else to do I miss her so much.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of the baby you wanted to adopt. You must be very sad. But I know that if you decide to adopt another dog, you will have so much love for him or her.

- Hi Jessica! I am so sorry for the loss of the Pit Bull that you wanted to rescue. Kelly had asked for my input on an adoption of such a breed of dog and I did my best to help. Once again, so sorry that you weren't able to rescue her.
