I was looking for another female Akita after my first one passed away. After two years of debating I found a reputable breeder and visited with him twice before picking my beautiful cotton ball. Mojo was more or less a new companion for Jade. I think I did a service to him by buying him from his somewhat ignorant breeder. He has that beautiful bear look that Akitas are famous for and it was love at first puppy lick. Unfortunately I can't say Mojo's breeder is as thorough as Jades breeder Cory. Mojo hasn't been checked on since I bought him by his breeder. His breeder was selling pups based on the father being from Champion Bloodlines. So I ended up doing the vet exams and shots with our new baby boy and Jades breeder Cory has always helped with her and now with Mojo. We see Jades breeder three to four times a year and together we are getting her ready to show.
Pet likes:
Jade and Mojo are so loving when I wake up in the morning. Each one grabbing my hand to say "Hello" or sneaking up to my sons room when it is time for him to get up for school. They are extremely in tune with the family.
Pet dislikes:
First isn't a pet dislike. I just dislike my pup Mojo's breeder. Beware of backyard breeders. I reported this particular man to the AKC.
Training them to leave small animals alone. They love to try and catch squirrels and chipmunks. We've had a couple of poor birds that just didn't make it out of the yard. They now know that their human mommy doesn't appreciate this and are doing better at looking and not chomping.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Jade loves the belly rub and leg massage we give her. Mojo just loves being rubbed on his sides but his special spot is on his neck. Just below his chin and right before his chest is the sweet spot that makes him stretch his neck.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Both of them steal a rubber nib ball with a bell in it away from one another. We have two but they always want the one the other one has.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Sleeping on their backs. At first I thought it was just Jade who did that. Now we have Mojo and he started that the first night we had him at home.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Every morning it is a shower of kisses.
I crack up when my pet:
Gets excited and hops! They both look like Kangaroos.
My pet is unique because:
When I'm not feeling good they stay by my side unless they have to eat or go outside and take care of business. They are very in tune with what is going on with me as well as my son.
I thank you both for the compliments. Sometimes a bit of knowledge comes in handy and in her case there are no limits to what one might throw her way. Be it meival English or organic pheews.
Sorry Barbara....I've heard to many horror stories about this group to think they've done anything good. They might be trying to do good but they're failing from all I've read and heard about them. If you know something different I'd appreciate hear…
You are kidding right? Just how much do YOU really know about this group? Or are you, like with the Justice story, posting something that you received second hand and took to be the truth? And for anyone to be so arrogant to ASSume that this suppose…
Renee, your mistake was an honest one. It's a shame that the child can't see it for that and continues to spew her venom. What I posted about fullmoon farms is what I know about them from seeing them on the news and the problems they've had over the…
