Proud pet parent of:
Trin - Beagle F 5 yrs
Sam - Beagle M 7yrs
Squirt - Cat/Orange Tab 8yrs
Ugg - Cat/Persian White 6 mo's
Pujah - Bird/Cockatiel 16yrs
How we met:
All rescues
Pet likes:
Walks, car rides, going to the woods, laying all together on the deck in
the sun. Playing tag. Treats. Ball games. Tug of war with a sock or rag. Feeding time!
Pet dislikes:
When someone gets cranky in the group. Doesn't last long.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Wherever I'm at.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Each other!!
Pet’s silliest habit:
Sam dances. Trin snorks & pushes her head under the carpets. Squirt cleans both dogs ears. Ugg likes to lay on his back and knead the air.
Pujah likes to groom all of the others, one hair at a time.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Trin is Dr. Dog. Shes there in an instant when any of us are sick or not feeling well to try to help. She also gives everyone a daily bath with her tongue. Humans get the daily facewash.
Sam loves to put his head on the same pillow as you and stare into your eyes.
Squirt has to have a conversation with you at least once a day & meows like a little kitten at those times.
Ugg just likes to be warm & be close to someone most of the time.
Pujah kissing the noses of each of the crowd for morning greeting.
I crack up when my pet:
When all of them lick and kiss each other. Cats, birds & dogs.
My pet is unique because:
They are my pack and I am their Mom. They all love me & I love each & everyone of them. Each one is special in their own way and bring me unlimited joy, laughter and happiness everyday. There is never any fights between them and I couldn't imagine life without their wet noses, kisses and cuddles.

Thanks for your post! Yes, Duke was special. He was the best watch-dog & never had a minute of "training"...he was just naturally protective. We live in the country & I never worried about my boys when they were outside with him...I knew he would have given his life to protect them (and my husband & I, too). Thanks for the listening ear...I may be back...it seems to help to talk about him.
THANKS!!!

Hi, Jolynn
Appreciate u joining the turle group. Can we become friends? I love your dogs, so adorable! Cute Cats and a Bird! WOW, similar to my house. Lets see dogs, no cats, no birds, turtles, fish, hermit crabs. LOL. How did you get the picture to be a border? I tried but still can't get it done. Can you help me?

Hugs,

Debbie

Yep, even though I have to drag my big butt out of bed twice a night to take the dogs for their potty walks, I wouldn't replace them for the world. Sam, was left chained to my screen door about a month & 1/2 ago. Male, non neutered, & probably about 7 or 8 yrs old. Maybe a little older, Beagle. I'm sure someone dumped him because they couldn't control him. Slowly I'm getting somewhere with him. He's such an old man & even though he was dumped, I couldn't turn him over to the shelter or a no-kill shelter. He needed so much love, I could see it in his eyes. He is though a very, very gentle dog. So he's the one that disturbs my sleep the most, because he has to mark all of his territory everytime I take him out. He'll be getting fixed next week.. thank heavens!! hehe Uhhh speak of the devil.. here he is! Have to go LOL Talk to you later. I'll be sending a friend invite to ya! We think alike, I like that. :)

I get so mad at people who mistreat animals. I know when I found Flipper he was scared of everything and if you barely raised your voice about anything he would coward down and tuck his tail in. Since then he knows the difference when he is being a bad boy which is rarely. He meets me at the door when I come home and tells me about his day and I tell him about mine.

It is so funny because in the morning I ask him how he slept and everything. He will not go outside to potty until he gets his hugs and kisses in the morning. He is a momma's boy all the way. He may love his nana but he loves his mommy because when there is a storm or anything he heads straight for my bed and will lay right next to me the whole time. What can I say I love my beagle baby.

Jolynn, do any of your beagles have trouble with runny eyes?

I truly believe that God sent me Flipper and that it was a gift from my dad who passed away in 1989. Since I did not get any of my dad's beagles I wanted one so badly so when I saw Flipper I knew my dad had sent him to me. I love Flipper just like I love my daughter. I basically have two kids it is just that one of them is a dog, who thinks he is human.

Does your beagles make sounds and try to talk to you like they are really having a conversation with you? Mine does.

It is insane to say that the round-ups are not working if you yourself have seen that the horses are healthy and happy out there. That is the point of the roundups. A mare can have one foal per year and each foal can begin having a foal per year at…
