Look, I DO understand that taking on a pet is a HUGE responsibility, I DO understand, that the poor little animal will only suffer MORE if it is NOT fed properly, or taken care of medicaly properly. I'm NOT hard hearted. I try not to be rude, and I…

Excellent point! People are supposed to have children out of love and to love them not put a monetary value on their existence or make that the determing factor in rather they should be born or not. Money isn't everything but love is forever. My son…

To Belles: 1.I KNOW what the word Communist means. STOP TALKING TO ME LIKE i'M A FIVE YEAR OLD. DON'T WRITE TO ME ANYMORE. If you don't like what I say, then don't read anything I say. I have just as much right here as you or anyone else and my opin…

True on all you have said. I have been in situations where I needed help and was turned away. I also know people who were abusing the system when I was in need and they were getting plenty. Off that subject, though. As far as for the animals, they…

There's a difference between asking for help and advice and refusing to take your cat to the vet. I've posted here a few times asking for advice. There is nothing wrong with "Hey, this is happening to my cat, does anyone know what it could be?" I'd…

Did I say it was rocket science? No. I don't think, that anyone who is in a terrible situation should go out and take on a pet when they themselves are having difficulties just making it. I know. I don't have a lot, but I DO manage to care for my pe…

I agree, that in the most emergency situations, that asking for help is GREAT. I just was trying to say, that no one should be telling anyone else when and when NOT to have a pet. That's being a communist and this is not our country's way. I agree w…

I have had times, when I haven't had the monies to take my cat, when ill to the vet and would've given an arm and a leg to have someone help me out. What was I supposed to do, give up my friend that I'd had for several years? We went broke trying to…

It is only fair for me to say on behalf of those who need and ask for help, I don't get sick of people asking for help and advice. I have more than two or three times, sacrificed a bill payment for one of my cats' health and we DID work out a paymen…

The problem is we've had discussion topics like this: "Oh, I can't afford to take my cat to the vet. He gets into lots of fights with wild animals and gets injured. What should I do?" "What do you mean I shouldn't let him do it? What do you mean it…

That "lady" is Jackie Emuryan, and while everyone is entitled to their opinion, an educated, well informed opinion has far more weight than her self-serving complaints. Apparently she has been fortunate enough to have funds to care for her many anim…

Yes the lady could have been a little more tactful. People who have fed and cared for their pets all their lives now find themselves with not enough money so they face the problem of asking for help or surrendering the animal to a shelter. Myself,Id…

Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
Seven precious kitties!
How we met:
Cleo and Murphy were our first kittens, Then, Cleo had four little kittens and another five after that. Then, we adopted, sort of, Spyder Cat!
Pet likes:
Sleeping and Playing and getting into all sorts of cat type mischief!!! Oh, yeah, BELLY RUBS!!!
Pet dislikes:
DOGS and the mailman.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Either a nice soft bed, or a lap!!! Try having SEVEN cats arguing over who get's grandpa or grandma's lap!!!
Pet’s favorite toy:
Anything that will flutter or scoot across the floor.
Pet’s silliest habit:
getting on top of an open door, or opening a cabinet door and locking his or herself or another cat inside, we do head counts all the time!
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When they are feeling loving and "kiss" you! Spyder Cat loves to "Eskimo" nose rub!
I crack up when my pet:
I crack up when the cats get to what we call "scrattling." That's when they race through the house and lay their ears back and look really ferocious in their eyes but are playing!
My pet is unique because:
All seven of our cats are unique and special individually for who they are and the wonderful ways they make us feel just because the are around!

CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS CATS. ...can't say enough FOR the little darlings, everyone of them in all the wide world

If I had MY way, only those who TRUELY LOVE cats would ever own one and everyone would be screened COMPLETELY BEFORE they could ever take one home with them. SECONDLY, If I had MY way, I would be President of this place and the ONLY place one could find a feline of ANY kind, would be through me, and that would be where I would have the NO KILL CAT SANCTUARY. Sounds like I'm being too harsh? No. Not really. I've seen too many little kitties taken home and discarded just because people got tired of fooling with them and then there's that I got tired of changing the litter, they aren't cute little kittens anymore. Well DUH, stupid, they grow up, too. Like puppies. Someone buys a cute little puppy and then when it grows up into it's dog stage, they tie it up or put the poor creature out in the back yard and forget about it, except to feed it. Heck, I had PONIES and treated them like good friends when I was a kid. I had rabbits, who ran loose in our yard, but when my sister and I slept out in our tent at night, two or three of them would often come in and sleep with us. This is how tame they were. My ponies, they were like great big dogs. I've loved every pet I've ever had, and loved them with all my heart. I am a Pagan and I believe, that when I cross over, my friends will be waiting for me, my little sister, and all of our animal friends. I hope that I will meet all the TRUE pet lovers there, as well, the more, the merrier!!!

I had to answer to this comment, Larry!!! That picture of this kitty looks almost like my Cleo, except she's really slick haired. Very tempermental, and I don't know if she's a Siamese or a Bermese. She's small and not quite as big as I've seen how many Siamese are, of course, she's not a full blood, either. Her kittens weren't, THAT'S for sure!!! She would fight like a demon for them, though, a very GOOD mama and I love her for that quality. Oh, and other qualities as well. LOL! She used to not allow anyone to really touch her unless she desired it, but now, she seems to want more and more attention, I think the older she gets, the more love and attention she wants, She's four years old and really precious to us!!!

I had a rabbit for about three-four years. He was a Holland bunny. So cute. I am trying to get the two cats to stop fighting. Both male and close in age. I am worried one of them will be dead one day when I get home. Got any suggestions? I tried seperating them too, but it seemed to get worse (I think) due to them thinking favoritism. I took turns putting them in either the bathroom or a cage that I have, but I hated doing that...K.I.T.

Wow. I had a horrible experience with two of my cats. They were fighting and I tried to break it up. Would believe I got bit? Still healing. Nothing else new. How are you?

Judy, you are my kind of girl, to bad that is against the law. Well we will have some satisfaction, the ASPC came and picked up the little one, removed all the tape (without him losing much hair and without any torture). As for the 19 yr. old idiot, they caught him. When asked why he would do such a thing he replied, " his Father and Brother had been shot". Now I am not heartless and I feel his pain, however, what has the baby got to do with it. I am sure he seen that this little angel could not hold or shoot a gun so whats the purpose.

2nd round of shots for Peanut. He is 4 lbs and a ball of energy. Where he is learning his tricks from is beyond me. My middle cat Moo is used to being the baby. He looks at the kitten like he is an alien.
