Capslock is considered yelling in the cyber world. I understand how the lyme disease attributes to you using capslock but I'm not sure how your animal sanctuary does. There is a program on microsoft called a magnifier, it does what the name suggests…
Hemopet.org (Dr. Jean Dodds ) does very inexpensive thyroid/CBC/chem panel, as she is a researcher. $95.00 for all. You bleed and ship blood overnight.
I will make sure to have her thyroid checked. Right now I owe the vet about $800.00 for past visits - thankfully I'm able to make payments. When I have the bill lowered a few hundred, I'll have a full blood workup done. I really hope she doesn't hav…
I HAVE BADLY INJURED EYES FROM A LIFETIME OF LYME DISEASE. SORRY YOU DON'T LIKE CAPS, BUT IT IS EASIER FOR ME TO SEE. I RUN AN ANIMAL SANCTUARY WITH 11 RESCUED ANIMALS. WHAT DO YOU DO???
WOW IT'S REALLY ANNOYING WHEN PEOPLE TYPE IN ALL CAPS. But testing her thyroid may help with the weight loss too. I'm not knowledgable on the subject at all but I've gotten many suggestions to have my chubby girl's thyroid checked. It helps or is in…
BE SURE TO HAVE FULL THYROID PANEL DONE ON ANY DOG WITH BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS SUCH AS FEAR OR AGGRESSION. TRAINING WON'T HELP A DOG WIYH LOW THYROID AS THE CAUSE OF BAD BEHAVIOR. GO TO http://www.hemopet.org or Google Jean Dodds, DVM for the best thyr…
I do agree she is trying to defend herself. Molly has a crate that no other animals are allowed in. For socialization we walk as often as weather permits - her leg muscles are weak, so she cannot walk for too long - we go to the pet supply store to…
I second that shes trying to defend herself. As from a puppy mill she didnt have a good socialization with day to day life, and as has visual issues to boot, she cant see to know whats a threat so sees everything as a threat. What socialization have…
I think she is protecting herself. She doesn't have the resources (sight) that she used to and that other dogs have to quickly and accurately assess a situation. When she is able to fully trust you as her leader, that you will protect her where she…
Molly was rescued in Feb 09 by the Humane Soc. She was a breeder in a puppy mill. She moved in with us at the end of May. For the most part, she's a great dog. She is partially blind due to a neglected eye problem that required surgery on both eyes.…
Bubba is a 2 year old Ori-pei, and Molly is a 4 year old Ori-pei - she came to live with us in May '09
How we met:
Molly was rescued from a puppy mill, where she was used as a breeder. I found her on the pug rescue site and we drove 12 hours round trip to pick her up from MO. I fell in love with Bubba after viewing him on the internet.
Pet likes:
Bubba loves running in the yard, while Molly just needs to be loved
Pet dislikes:
Bubba dislkes the neighborhood kids who tease him. My dogs are a shar-pei/pug mix, the kids think they are funny looking. Molly is still afraid of most things
Pet’s favorite spot:
Bubba has his spot on the couch, Molly feels secure in her crate
Pet’s favorite toy:
Bubba loves his fuzzy bunny, Molly doesn't really 'get' the whole toy thing yet, she likes to chew on a bully stick
Pet’s silliest habit:
You know Bubba is excited when he runs in circles. Molly rolls around on her back in her bed each night, kicking and snorting.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
In the evening, Bubba and I snuggle on the couch and read. Molly and I have hug time each day, I try to get her used to being handled without being afraid.
I crack up when my pet:
Molly lived such a horrible life, when we got her she couldn't do stairs, no potty training, most good things are new to her. When I watch her experience new things, she's so funny because she just looks so very happy, now that her legs are strong enough to run - she runs in the yard, she's learning how to be a pet - and having a great time doing it.
My pet is unique because:
Bubba has an adorable baby face that melts your heart. Even though Molly is partially blind, very uncoordinated, falls down a lot, and has so many
problems due to past neglect and abuse, she is capable of being so loving, she just wants to please.

And we can end this by agreeing to disagree. Your lack of insight as to the right thing to do is somehow not surprising and I will consider it as a testimony as to who you are - as I am sure will the others who had the misfortune of replying to your…
I believe all has been said. You will not be receiving an apology from me, nor do I expect one from you or your group. Now we are all on the same page. I will continue to rescue, and you all will continue to do your animal work, and thankfully some…
