My litttle girl does this too! I do have a way to keep her under control though.... When she was a puppy, and she would start barking at something, I would say "enough" and the minute she stopped the barking I would give her a treat. After doing thi…

Johanna, If you want some really great training advice, check out the main ASPCA website (there's a training and tips section). I printed TONS of stuff about training when I first got my rottie and the tips really do work. I even have her trained to…

Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
Xena, my beautiful Rottweiler.
Pet likes:
Trying to eat as many leaves and piles of grass from the backyard as she can, chewing on bones, and following her daddy around the house.
Pet dislikes:
When her ice cubes melt before she has a chance to chew them. She just can't seem to keep them in her mouth. She spends the whole time licking them and chasing them around the kitchen! She also doesn't like when we are walking through the park and people on bikes whiz by. She must think they're trying to sneak an attack!
Pet’s favorite spot:
In her huge dog bed in our bedroom.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Her blue rubber clothes pin and her "tire" attatched to a rope.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Looking down at the floor and barking into the carpet or tile when she needs to be let outside to go "poo-poo". She'll never do it when she's gotta pee!
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Every moring when she wakes me up with big sloppy kisses all over my face.
I crack up when my pet:
Chases shadows on the floor.
My pet is unique because:
She has personality unlike any other dog I've ever known. She's also so darn smart, sometimes it's actually scarry. (What other dog knows how to use its mouth to get a door knob to turn and get the door open?)

Xena is very pretty. I like the pics of her when she was pup, she looks almost identical to my newest pup, Zoey. Check out my page for pics of her and our others if u like.

To add on to my "how smart my rottie is"......in the past week she has figured out how to open the screen door to the garage to come outside when she wants to be with us. She jumps up on her back legs and puts her paw on the push handle and when the door flings open, she runs out. I couldn't even believe it! I isn't like it happened on accident. My husband and I will go outside and just wait for her to do it. She has an attatchment like no other to my husband and she doesn't like for him to be out of her site. Now I know why there are bumper stickers that say "My Rottweiler is smarter than your honor student"! Oh boy. What will my little sweetpea learn to do next?!?
