OMG...I am very sorry for your loss. I have lost an animal before and I know how much it hurts. My thoughts are with you.
August 7
Absolutely, put on cat harness in the house and walk your cat that way. You can even try to lure with healthy treats, praising your cat as they walk along and then slowly out in the back yard and then in the front and then down the sidewalk. Your ca…

Your blog reminds me of a lady who is trying to get her apartment porch cat proof, however the managers there do not want any kind of things up on her porch. Unsure of what to do, I suggested a cat tunnel or a leash that is tied on to something. Howe…

I have found that my cats seem to know that without a harness, they cannot go outside. As long as I take them often enough, they are satisfied. Now, if I had the front door wide open, they would all eventually run for it. As far as getting used to a…

Now that I am older (I was only 7 when we got our oldest cat) I feel guiltier and guiltier about my cats being trapped in the house all of the time. I always wished we could have had them adjusted to walking in a harness. I've talked to my mom about…

I use the harness as well with both of mine but my oldest you would think it's a torture device as all he'll do is lay there. I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment building and while I trust my oldest not to do anything stupid, it’s my youngest I…

Mine walks the whole way, and back at least a 20 minute walk twice a day. We live in the country lots of smells for him.

It is! As long as you keep your cat walking and don't let them just sit for too long! Haha!

Hi Kristy - glad to see a fellow Missourian here. You're great for all the work you do! I agree with your take on PETA as well. I think they were a good organization at one point, but are now a marketing machine to get their officers large salaries.
