- Mustang Shelby was bought from a man facing animal cruelty charges for $50. I puchased her on 4/25/08. She weighed 669lbs and is 13.3hh

- She is a sweet angel that is currently being fed alfalfa pellets grass hay wheat bran oats 10%sweet feed and beet pulp.

- Oh thank you. The mare is better now. She came from a man that was starving over 20 horses. He had just as many lying around dead. It was a horrible case. I wish I could have taken them all but I could only help one. The others were auctioned at a local livestock auction. I can only hope they went to someone caring. The dogs are all mine and my mothers. All but one were unwanted or abandoned. There is a real epidemic in TN with abuse, neglect and abandonment of animals. I give props to my husband for putting up with a new "recruit" every time I come across an animal in need. I give most of them to happy responsible homes

Vladimir said… - Lacy, when you separate the cat, you are only reinforcing his fears and anxieties. Try having someone other than your husband feed the cat, preferably, in small amounts, stretching out the meal. The cat needs to associate someone other than your husband with a postitive outcome.
