Montana - We were looking for a playmate for our German shepherd, Bailey. We had wanted another German shepherd and looked several places but could never find one. I was looking on Petfinder.com and saw a Siberian Husky rescue. I called them and they said we could come over and see what they had. She wanted us to bring our dog to make sure we found one that Bailey got along with. The first 2 dogs they brought out were so hyper and chased Bailey around and around the backyard. She didn't like that. The 3rd one they brought out was this big beautiful boy, Montana. Apparently he was found wandering the streets of Detroit and was going to be put down but someone called the rescue and asked them if they wanted him. Lucky for us they said yes. He was calm and Bailey liked him almost as much as I did. We filled out the application and waited to hear back the next day after she checked our references. Montana was ours. Three days later she brought him to our house to check things out. She seemed to be satisfied and left him with us. It takes a lot of patience to own a Siberian Husky, but it is worth every moment.
Bailey - We got Bailey from my husband's friend. He wasn't spending enough time with her and was trying to find her another home. My husband happened to tell his friend that we were looking for a dog. He told us we should come over and meet Bailey. We drove over that night and when we saw her we immediately fell in love with her. She wagged her tail and never once barked at us. We took her home that night and she slept on the bed with us. From then on she was our baby girl. She loves her daddy and gets so excited every time she hears the garage door open when he comes home from work. She is very very protective of her family. Many people from our old neighborhood would cross the street before walking in front of our house when they saw Bailey outside. She would just protect her territory...but is so loving and affectionate with us. I am so happy we have Bailey. She is a perfect dog.

Pet’s favorite spot:
Montana - One of our bathrooms. I call it his cave. He will go in and close the door and sleep there.

Bailey - Her ball and the squeakers in toys
Pet’s silliest habit:
Montana - Going into the bedroom and barking until someone else comes in so he doesn't have to be alone.
Bailey - When Daddy goes to bed she always has to jump up on the bed and put her head on his chest.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Montana - When Montana sees me cry he will come up to me looking all sad and whine. He will then take his paw and put it on my knee. I love that boy!!
Bailey - She will go up to her Daddy when he is sitting in his chair and will put her chin on his arm and look up at him. She is definitely a Daddy's girl.
I crack up when my pet:
Montana - When he doesn't get his way or wants attention he will lay on his side and make these little noises and talk. It is hilarious.
Bailey - When Bailey is playing with her ball she will run, jump, bounce and pounce on it. She is such a silly girl.
My pet is unique because:
They are both one of a kind! They are like my children.
