Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
Ginger, a lhaso apso terrier mix, and Annie, a full Cairn terrier, both a little over one year old.
How we met:
I got both of them from rescue sites in Missouri. I found them on PetFinder. I fell in love with both of them.
Pet likes:
I love animals - any kind of animal. I will stop my car for a bird or a squirrel - and I've been scolded many times for this. Can't help it though, I just love animals so much.
Pet dislikes:
I think the only pet I wouldn't want to have is a snake.
Pet’s favorite spot:
Both in my bed, snuggled close to me.
Pet’s favorite toy:
An old sock and a round, tough saucer like play toy. Of course, they got the little bit of stuffing out of it first!
Pet’s silliest habit:
Ginger loves water and mud. One day, after it had rained a lot, I let her outside. When I went to the door to let her in, all of a sudden I saw a streak of light brown mud fly across in front of me. She had completely dunked herself in a mud puddle and was as happy as could be. Annie likes to rub her back and sides on the couch and floor. She looks so happy when she's doing that.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When the greet me at the door when I come home from somewhere. They're both standing there with their little tails wagging and showing that they're so happy to see me.
I crack up when my pet:
When they start chasing each other around the house and play together.
My pet is unique because:
Both of them just love to be around people despite their abuse when they were little puppies. Ginger was found running loose in some city in Missouri. Thank goodness someone got her before something happened to her. Annie was rescued from a puppy mill.

Anyone from Riverton, IL or Springfield, IL a member of this website?

I'd love to hear from anyone from around where I live that's a member of this website. That would be nice to know. My whole family loves animals. I'd love to live on a place where I could have lots of animals and take in ones that are on their last chance for life. I'd love to have an animal sanctuary. I'm so passionate about animals. They are so loving and trusting. They are so innocent and just want to have somone to love and take care of them. Hey, that's what we humans want too!

hi lynn, sorry that i made you cry, but i cry also what you wrote, i guess we are true animal lovers, i am so sorry about your furbaby filly, i know how you feel. i lost my beloved cookie and austin in 2006, both in nov, cookie had cancer and was 10, and baby austin was 14 months old when he died, he died eating nutro dog food, i about went crazy, then a friend of mine that works at AHA, told me about rainbow bridge, they really helped me, i met so many wonderful people there and really cared about me and my babies. then i found this site and it is really neat, talking to people that love animals as much as i do, because i really love my babies, and that is why it makes me so sick what those mean people do to them, someday God with take care of all those evil people. and our furbabies and babies will be safe, so i hope you have a wonderful weekend, and these to babies are mine they are dakota and casey.

Lynn, I got an e-mail advertising this book. I have been trying for a couple of months now to find out if his claims are true (especially about the euthanised animals in dog food). There are a few people in this community that do swear by organic diets.

Does your dog have brown stains in the feet or face? As Barbara has mentioned, check the food with your veternarian because certain dog foods could be causing the dogs system to produce yeast toxins, that is a major cause of allergy toxins. Foot lic…

Come on in and talk about anything your heart desires as long as you respect others. You do not have to talk about animals. Post a joke, a story you read, let out your frustrations etc. Be Nice!
