Miuccia, a 4 yr old Female Orange Sable Pomeranian
Sergio, a 3 yr old Male Orange Sable Pomeranian
Clawed Meownet, a 8 year old fat male Norwegian Forest cat
Bono, a 4 year old orange tiger male
Sara Kate, a 6 yr old ferret
How we met:
My two poms came from a breeder in CT. My two cats came from the local animal shelter and my ferret came from a pet store. Bono, my youngest male tiger, adopted us. I was visiting the animals of the West Kennebunk, ME shelter and dropping off toys, and definitely was not there to adopt. I visited the cat rooms, and this is where Bono and I met. They listed him as an 8 year old Tiger, a stray from a neighboring town. He was a TOTAL love bug. jumped in my arms and would NOT leave me be. He purred and purred...even the staff said it was the hand of God. So needless to say...we brought home another one. I love all of my pets... but I would definitely ADOPT before going to a store or breeder...there are too many animals out there in need of good homes.
Pet likes:
My dogs love to play in the snow and wrestle with each other. Sergio is a momma's boy and Miuccia wants to know why you don't understand how important she is....she thinks she is the center of attention....
Bono loves to eat and play...especially with the dogs
Clawedy loves his cat nip and his favorite time of day is anytime that food is served!
Pet dislikes:
My kids don't liked to be brushed, but they love the treats they get afterwards.
My ferret doesn't like it when my Sergio tries to play with her
Pet’s favorite spot:
My poms love stealing my side of the bed...they are such pillow hogs! They also like guarding the house by watching out the bay window and barking at ANYONE who passes by.
My cats love the window....when they can get the dogs out of it.
Pet’s favorite toy:
The puppies love their squeaky "Duckie", and dirty socks
The cats love string and stealing the dog toys to torment the dogs
Sara Kate, the woozle loves anything crinkly or that has a bell...she loves to hide her toys
Pet’s silliest habit:
Sergio chases his tail and runs around in circles when he gets really excited.
Miuccia washes your face and just will not stop
Bono stalks the dogs...and swats at their tail when they wag it
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When they are all asleep in my bed....the only time the house is quiet....and no, a King size bed is NOT big enough for me, my boyfriend, 2 dogs and 2 cats
They comfort me when I am sad, and Miuccia licks your face until you have no choice but to laugh!
I crack up when my pet:
wakes up next to the dog or cat and tries to act like they didn't just enjoy snuggling
My pet is unique because:
They each have a lovable and distinct personality...and a fabulous wardrobe like their mom.
Hi! Great pic! We would love to have your pom's pic posted at our social network site for pet lovers and you could also build your own group of pom lovers at www.PETtell.com. Share your pics, videos, tips and tricks with other pomeranian lovers in your area.
Well, I have 4 mastiffs, a pom, a chihahua, a rat terrier, 2 outdoor cats, 1 inside, and have had parrots in and out forever. Mastiffs are great dogs and get along well with most any other animal. Most of it depends on socialization early on. Too bad, I had a litter recently. Luckily, I was able to find wonderful homes for all of them.
If you do decide to get one, let me know, I know some great breeders. -- There is also one on kijji.com that might work.
English Mastiffs are great great dogs. They are very mellow and laid back. they are extremely loyal and affectionate and make great guard dogs. they do drool, but some more than others. Razz (7yo 150 lb dark brindle female) we got at 10 weeks old and she still sleeps in our bed. When we get puppies, we get two so they can play with each other and wear each other out. We never had a problem with training issues with two puppies. razz was glad we got her a "sister" when she was 5 months old. they hit it off and are still good buddies always watching each other's back. the males get much bigger than the female (up to 240 lbs). I would highly recommend a mastiff to anyone as long as you can put up with an occasional "slinger." It is mostly after they drink or when they see food and start to drool - ugh, but they are so worth it to me. Biscuit, my fawn 7 yo female, is like having a huge stuffed animal. you can wrap your arms around her big soft neck and stuff your face in her chest/neck - it is the best feeling. The place where I got my horse from in Ohio breeds American Mastiffs that dont drool. Check out: FlyingWFarms.com I am sure you already know to go to a reputable breeder and not a puppy store - GOOD LUCK!!!
Hi Meg! Your Poms are soooo cute. I had one named Milly. She was my first dog as an adult on my own. I adopted her when she was 6 years old. She was a big pom at 14 lbs. She was so cute though. She spun around on her back legs which I think is a pom trait. She passed at the age of 14, about five years ago. I still think about her. I love poms and wonder if I will ever have one again someday. Happy and healthy new year to you and your family! Lynda
Isn't that funny... they are almost cat like in how they clean themselves. I would like to take a video of this, but she is camera shy and it's hard enough getting just a good photo of her.
I've never seen anything like it, and I've lived in a variety of places that get ice storms.
And no one was hurt, for which we are incredibly thankful.
This ice storm reminds me of the ice storm we had in New England back in the 70s and we were with out power for a week. Reminded me of the movie Day after Tomorrow.
I hope no dogs were hurt during this storm.
