Kitty was first brought to me in the middle of a cold December night in St. Paul, MN. She was only 2 or 3 months old, and had been hanging around an apartment building for quite some time. She needed a mommy as much as I needed a baby. She and I have been inseperable since. She is a little prissy, and doesn't really like other people. My family jokes that to know whether or not a new person will be welcomed into the family is if Kitty likes them...Where ever I go, Kitty is sure to be close behind, latching herself on.
Pierre was also a rescue, from the Clark County animal shelter. Someone took his brother but left him! The shelter was trying to encourage people to adopt 2 and only pay for one adoption fee, but that just meant that he was right for me. I couldn't leave him, now could I??? He has grown, and he has grown. Now he weighs about 17 pounds! Big boy! He is my precious angel. He never lost his baby face. He loves to sing and hold long conversations too. His favorite song would be Jingle Bells. It goes like this: Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way "Meow", oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh "Meow". He's very good about waiting until the end of the line to chime in his version.
Pierre is not with me now. He came down with a horrible UTI and began peeing all over the carpet in the apartment. I was given the choice of putting him to sleep, or giving him up. I found a no-kill shelter in Manhattan, KS, who took him in and they treat him like their own. There's not a day I can't hear his little voice commanding attention. I miss him...
Does your dog have brown stains in the feet or face? As Barbara has mentioned, check the food with your veternarian because certain dog foods could be causing the dogs system to produce yeast toxins, that is a major cause of allergy toxins.

Come on in and talk about anything your heart desires as long as you respect others. You do not have to talk about animals. Post a joke, a story you read, let out your frustrations etc.
