MY TWO SHEPHERDS

Proud pet parent of:

Jorn Vom Hainpark is my 3 year old male German Shepherd
and
Aken Von Preis is my baby male German Shepherd puppy and just turned 1

How we met:

When our first shepherd was about 10 years old and not in good health, we thought it would be good for our kids if we got another dog as the in-between dog, so we started looking for another shepherd. We found Jorn and I fell in love with his black face right away, so that night we took him home. 2 years later I thought that Jorn needed a friend so we found Aken and again I feel in love and brought him home to Jorn.

Pet likes:

Jorn is a walking nut.. all he needs to see is me putting on my sneakers and he is at the door going crazy.
Aken likes to follow Jorn, He kind of knows what the sneakers mean but I think right now he is just following the big dog.

Pet dislikes:

My dogs hate the door bell, lawn mower and blower. They also don't like when the UPS truck comes around.

Pet’s favorite spot:

Jorn likes to sit on the couch and look out the window. Aken like to sit on the couch also but he likes to have his head on a pillow.At bed time Aken likes to sleep on the bed with me and Jorn likes to sleep under the nite light.

Pet’s favorite toy:

Jorn lives for the ball.... Aken likes the ball when he can get it from Jorn but I think his favorite toy is his stuffed doggy.

Pet’s silliest habit:

Both Aken and Jorn love to nibble. Aken also loves to give big hugs with both of his paws on your shoulders.

Pet’s sweetest moments:

When they both look at me with the sad eyes like it doesn't matter that I ate the couch look how cute I am

I crack up when my pet:

Burps....and when they help me clean the dishes in the dishwasher.

My pet is unique because:

Jorns pedigree goes back to the 1800"s
He is an east german import bred to compete in schutzhund and has many champion dogs in his pedigree.. But for us he is a family dog.

The very tips of all of Aken feet are white, and the front left foot is completely white. That makes him very unique..
