Profile Information

My website or blog:
http://aspcacommunity.ning.com/group/therapydogs
Proud pet parent of:
Jake (Golden Retriever)
Jane Austin-Healey (Tabby Cat)
How we met:
Both are rescue animals
Pet likes:
Jake: All people, walking in the park, his soft frisbee.
Healey: Playing with anything and everything
Pet dislikes:
Jake: Thunderstorms
Healey: Rules
Pet’s favorite spot:
Jake: Where ever I am.
Healey: Her extra soft blanket
Pet’s favorite toy:
Jake: Soft Frisbee and Beanie Babies
Healey: Stuffed Mice
Pet’s silliest habit:
Jake: Sleeping upside down
Healey: Late-night sprints thru the house and couch surfing (lays on her side and pulls her self across the floor by grabbing the couch).
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Jake: Loves soft petting. Will shake hands with anyone and if he really likes you, he will wrap his paw around your arm and hug you.

Healey: Loves when you watch and praise her while she eats. Loves to snuggle her blanket.
I crack up when my pet:
Jake: Wil carry his stuffed animals to his bed to sleep with.

Healey: Plays hide and seek with us. (stands in adjacent room and cries until we come and find her)
My pet is unique because:
Jake: is the calmest, sweetest, most obediant, most loving dog I have ever met. He has no bad habits. Jake is a newly registered therapy dog and we can't wait to start visiting folks in need.
Healey: has fun where ever she goes. She even plays by herself when no one is around.

Hi Paul and Jake! Sorry to read about your loss.

We're practically neighbors! I'll be back to read over your page. My hands are pretty full with 5 dogs and 3 cats right now - well, the cats are pretty self sufficient - however, I do have a recent rescue that I think would make a wonderful therapy dog. I thought about it before I trapped my stray (see my blog). He's a broken coat JRT, 12 lbs, sweet as sugar, and loves laps. I think Toby would warm hearts and bring a lot of smiles to children and elderly. I pulled him from the pound in TN and was going to foster him, but he looked at me with those big brown eyes on the way home so I kept him!

Just had an Arbys Roast beef sandwhich, about to make his ride home.
