Happiness is a cold nose, a wet tongue, and a wagging tail

I would rather have my dog trained properly then any of the options your suggested. I use the gentle, loving, firm training. My dogs have never ran off, never been free of the property, always use a leash, and will always stay in the yard. Freedom...

Lets see, would you rather be on a tangling 10 foot leash for the rest of your life, or be restriced within tall fences, OR would you like to walk around freely and only be shocked when you break the rules and leave the yard? I would take the thir...

I HAVE THREE CATS

Profile Information

My website or blog:
http://myspace.com/pennyandalex
Proud pet parent of:
Cody-lemon beagle (aka buddy)
Jasmine-beagle (nickname-little girl or jazamaroo) AKA PUDDLES...LOL
Corky-Brittany Spaniel-corkydoodledoo
Casey-cat (nickname-hell's spawn...lol)
How we met:
Got Cody from a farm. He was 8 months old, had no name, had never been in a house, and was badly neglected. He was being raised as a hunting dog, but didn't like guns. He had to share his dinner with 7 siblings. It took 3 baths to get the manure stink out of him, he had double ear infections, earmites and ringworm. It took some time for him to trust me and he's now my "ünderdog".
Jasmine: Came from a breeder. This was as close to a "puppy mill"as i ever want to get. These people were all about the money obviously. Jasmine has asthma, but she is a silly, lovable beagle.

Casey: Came from a farm. He seems prone to infections and has become quite the "ëxpensive"cat when it comes to the vets lol.

Corky: Came from a relative. After 12 years in this home, she was going to be taken to the humane society because she was just "too stupid". I said NOOOOOOOO, i will take her. At her age, she would have been put down within days.
Pet likes:
whatever we're having, FOOD, going for walks, food, butt scratches, food, food & more food, going for rides, just plain ole snuggling. Corky loves being outside running free after 12 yrs of being chained up
Pet dislikes:
loud noises, vacuum cleaner, BATHS, being alone, not getting to go with us when we leave. THE VET.
Casey hates riding in cars.
Pet’s favorite spot:
on the couch or bed, under the covers, anywhere we are. Jas & Cody love rides in the car.
Pet’s favorite toy:
anything that SQUEAKS, my socks LOL
Pet’s silliest habit:
sitting on the carpet and swirling in circles to scratch their butts :)
having conversations with an owl. Jasmine is a "barkaholic"and the sound is just hilarious. Casey loves to lay in hiding and pounce on the dogs.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
cuddly bedtime, nuzzling in between mommy and daddy
I crack up when my pet:
Jasmine curls on the couch sitting up "humanlike"to sleep
doing laps through the house.
They do the itchy butt swirl
when the cat chases the dogs or hitchhikes on a waggin tail
My pet is unique because:
They are all my best friends and I can always depend on them to be there and I for them. They are ALL special no matter what they do and I would not trade them for anything in the world.

True Love is Knowing where your dog has been and letting her lick your face anyway :)

To All Animal Lovers-Animal Rescue Site

Animal Rescue

Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple... Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute (How about 20 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals' for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the numbe… Continue

What is wrong with people???

I can't help but notice that some people ask the DUMBEST questions. EX...why does my dog chase cars? Answer: WHY IS YOUR DOG NOT ON A LEASH? I can't understand why some people have absolutely no common sense when it comes to their pets. Will my plants hurt my dog if he eats them? How about this...Put the plants where the dog can't get to them. Every petowner's home NEEDS to be petproof. Good Lord, People. USE YOUR HEAD.

Man's Best Friend

A friend emailed this to me and I could not resist sharing it. LOL

A dog is truly a man's best friend.

If you don't believe it, just try this experiment.

Put your dog and your wife in the trunk of the car for an hour.

When you open the trunk, who is really happy to see you!?

I once was a lonely dog

Once I was a lonely dog,
Just looking for a home.
I had no place to go,
No one to call my own.
I wandered up and down the streets,
in rain in heat and snow.
I ate what ever I could find,
I was always on the go.
My skin would itch, my feet were sore,
My body ached with pain.
And no one stopped to give a pat
Or to gently say my name.
I never saw a loving glance,
I was always on the run.
For people thought that hurting me
was really lots of fun.
And then one day I heard a voice
So gentle, kind and… Continue

A Dog's Dream

I lay down bleeding, bruised, and sore - broken spirit, just like before.
Can't he see my pain, my fright? I want to play, and love - not fight.
I see his hand as it comes down, and as he speaks I can hear his frown.
I shrink down closer to the floor, but I know just what ís in store.
I whimper softly, though in vain. My punishment - a four foot chain.
Left outside for seven days. No food, no water, eyes that glaze.
I rest my eyes, close them tight, trying to forget my plight.
As I open them aga… Continue
