Your home with become a safe haven and familiar territory, however deaf and blind dogs may have a bit harder time to adjust, I wouldn't expect adjustment real quickly. It takes a lot more time to feel safe and secure, especially if the dog is blind a…

We will be moving to a larger house soon and our 15+ year old Schnoodle who is blind and deaf will be making the move with us. As much as I hate to board her (and rarely have), we will do that for at least a night to get our things moved. How should…

Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
Zoeey
How we met:
A sad event (death of my mother-in-law) led us to a dear friend whose dog had just given birth to a litter. We were in the right place at the right time to bring Zoeey (and her sister Franny) into our lives.
Pet likes:
Treats - all natural/organic...and rain!
Pet dislikes:
Riding in the car - hates it! And always has. Now that she is bling and deaf, even more so.
Pet’s favorite spot:
The guest bathroom rug (??)
Pet’s favorite toy:
Toys are for pups...not 15+ year old wise, grand dogs!
Pet’s silliest habit:
At 15, she still rolls over on her back to scratch - all four feet just a flying.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
She used to lay on my stomach every weekend morning and snuggle...
I crack up when my pet:
Rolls on her back!
My pet is unique because:
She (and we) lost her sister to cancer when she was 13 years and shortly after lost her sight. But at 15+ years, blind and deaf, she is still going. She has trouble getting up some days, but she is strong and determined...she is truly one of a kind.

I would love it if you were to visit my webpage and perhaps become a member of the site

Visit (FFASC) Fight For Animal Safety Communities The reason I started this group on the Ning network was to broaden and expand the knowledge of animal cruelty and to gather people to join the site and become one for animals . I don't want to draw members away from the ASPCA community, I just want you all to have a chance to check out the Social Network and maybe join.
