Hi, so sorry to hear of you loss. I had to due the same to my baby girl Zoey on the 11th. She was 7 1/2 years old. I cry all the time and am also depressed. She developed Kidney Failure possibly from the tainted food, but we don't know for sure. I l…
Zoey Hardin. Zoey is the most wonderful Cocker Spaniel ever. She is so smart. She is well trained, sometimes I just think she is a little person in doggie clothing, however, can I explain how she knows what I am thinking or how she can so relate to me as a human. Zoey is black with a little white markings on her upper front body. She and I are together almost always. She loves her daddy, but I think she loves me the most. She is our lifesaver. I have never and I know everyone thinks this about their baby, but never have I seen such a smart puppy. She asks permission for everything. She will not even touch anything that has fallen on the floor even if it is her treat without permission. She is so loved by her family.
She loves to go riding with her daddy, but will not go without asking me first. She is always happy and loves us uncondidtionally. Her registered name is Midnight Zoey, and when we got the papers back one of her ancestor's had been named Midnight. We found that very interesting. Zoey is a short broad Cocker Spainel with big brown eyes and a very happy look for everyone.
How we met:
We me our baby in January 2005 when she was 4 months old. We had lost my cat of 18 years in Oct. and that's odd too. Zoey was born in Oct. and we purchased her in January. My cat was born in Jan and passed away in Oct. We went to see Zoey on a Sunday and the first thing that happened was her mother, her brother and Zoey met us at the door. When we went in the other two doggies went out to play, the next thing I know Zoey is in my lap. Her pervious daddy said "Well, she is gonner. I asked what he ment and he said she just chose you. So Zoey packed up her things and came home to live with us. Wow How Lucky we have been!!!!!!!!! I think she feels the same way.
Pet likes:
Her mommy, Her daddy, Riding in the car or truck and she knows which one is which. Taking trips, which she is great at. She loves just being with her parents, but most as long as she is laying next to her mommy or close by she is happy. If mommy moves Zoey moves. Always watching out for her mommy and mommy is always watching out for Zoey. She loves going in the front yard and just sitting down and looking around. She likes walks, but most she likes belly rubs and just being with her family.
Pet dislikes:
The only thing I can think of she doesn't like is having to stay home when her mommy and daddy go somewhere. Or when she wants people food and it's not good for her. Other than those things she likes about every thing else. Oh and she does not like loud voices. If someone raises their voice she thinks they are fighting and goes to her cage. Where she got that from I don't know
Pet’s favorite spot:
As close to her mommy as she can get and that is the truth.
Pet’s favorite toy:
A purple and yellow ball. What we call her wheel and she has had 2 of them and they do not make them anymore and we don't know what we will do when this one is gone. It is her favorite time with daddy. Her wheel and treats every night after dinner.
Pet’s silliest habit:
Getting in the car or truck if the door is open and just sitting there waiting to go. Even if we are not going anywhere.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When she gets on the bed after I make the bed and climbs up in the middle of the fluffy pillows and she wants her picture taken and waits for me to say How pretty she is in the pillows. The love she gives each and every time she looks at me.
I crack up when my pet:
Playing with her wheel and her daddy. She gets her treats that way and when he tells her to get the wheel, she runs and gets it and growls like she is really tough. She is a dainty Cocker Spaniel and couldn't hurt a fly.
My pet is unique because:
She is so well behaved and smart. Most people comment how well behaved she is and she has never forgotten anything. I have trained her to sit in a certain chair at the Vet and if she doesn't get to she looks at me UH Why Are They in my Chair. Never forgetting what cage she stays in at her motel, even if it has been a year. She never forgets anything.
