Greyhound are in the top 5 with a speed of 40 mph. Contrary to belief they are quite the couch potatoes in a home environment. They are forced to run. My dog is an ex dog fighter pit bull/greyhound mix. Bred specifically for fighting being 2 powerfu…

Profile Information

Proud pet parent of:
A DSH tortoise shell kitten-Snickers

A 11 year old Chocolate lab-Cocoa
How we met:
Snickers-After a loss of a family cat, a couple months later my mom took me to a shelter and I chose her.

Cocoa- My family got her from a breeder in a nearby city.
Pet likes:
Snickers-pencils, food, hair ties, food, rolls of tape, hair, string,me, attention and pretty much anything that moves.

Cocoa-rides in our car, attention, belly rubs, lovin', smaller dogs (she was the runt of the litter.)
Pet dislikes:
Snickers-being alone, vacumes, hair dryers, and to be ignored.

Cocoa- when she can't go somewhere with me, big dogs, and.....BATHS!!!
Pet’s favorite spot:
Snickers-my bed or my lap.

Cocoa-our entry way or the back of my Dad's truck.
Pet’s favorite toy:
Snickers-her pretty kitty pet condo (I nicknamed it that it's really called a cat condo.) Or pencils.

Cocoa- her stuffed hedgehog or her blue squeaky ball.
Pet’s silliest habit:
There are so many!
Snickers- when you whistle, she'll come bite and attack your leg.

Cocoas- is when my mom is getting ready to go for a walk, Cocoa will spin around, jump on my mom, and she'll run to her leash and bark at it.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
Snicker- when she's laying in my lap, I'm petting her, she's purring, and she's slowly falling asleep.
Cocoa- when I'm laying down with her and she's staring at me and there's a shimmer in her eyes that tells me that she loves me.
I crack up when my pet:
I crack up when Snickers knows she did something wrong and she hides- for example, once she knocked a plant to the floor and she ran into our bathroom, lied down and put her paws over her face.

I crack up when Cocoa is sleeping and twitches and moves her legs like she's running.
My pet is unique because:
There is no cat or dog out in the world that can ever replace Cocoa or Snickers. And I love all cats and dogs and animals out there, but I wouldn't have the same bond with another animal as I would with Cocoa and Snickers because it just wouldn't be the same. And they have their own personalities.

Love animals, don't wear them!

I hope everybody is aware of the fur harvest. If not, it's basicly murdering animals for their beautiful fur. There's more to it, but it's hard to put in words. So, say no to fur coats! You choice means everything. Only we can save animals from the fur harvest. If enough people didn't buy fur coats, we could stop this. Animals need us now more than ever. Please say no to fur coats! Only we can change the world for animals!!!!

About My Life

I live in a little town in Michigan. I don't live in the town part of my little city, I live out in the country in the township. I love where I live because there is so much wildlife and animals to see here. I see deer, raccoons, lots of different kinds of birds, rabbits, blue herons, and so many other animals.

I have an 11 year old chocolate lab named Cocoa, she's so pretty and sweet. I'm getting really worried about her, she's ill with bronchitis and our vets said it won't go away. She's on m… Continue

My Story

How It Happened- My love for animals didn't just show up overnight, I was born to be in this world for the dedication to animals. Loving animals has rewards- I love seeing any animal, and it's a treat to me. Some people see a chipmunk or another animal, and just say "it's just chipmunk" but in my mind, an animal will NEVER "just be an animal." I'll always recognize an animals beauty. And will never forget why I'm here and I'll also never forget what's important to me.

Where It's Going To Stay- My love for animals is in my heart and soul.
They are and always will be my life.

Why God Gave Me This Great Gift- God gave me the gift of loving animals for my life. Someone needs to be responsible for his creatures. I'll never regret what he gave me. Helping and being with animals has taught me that God gave us these animals for them to live as companions for us and for us to share our love with them.

My Goal In Life- Is to care for animals and educate others about animal welfare. I want to become a veterinarian when I'm older. I know what I want. I'd like to travel around Michigan being a vet for wild, house, zoo, endangered, farm, and exotic animals.

Why I'm Like This- I love animals and want to help them because animals have feelings too. I would not like to be treated like some animals are treated and I want to change that. Animals deserve better lives then what some have. And all they want in life is good health and a happy forever loving home. They need us and we need them and we can help them.

This story will always be in my heart.

My grade was on a field trip to a ghost town and we split up into groups of five.
As we walked on a rocky path, an elderly couple about in the early 60s came up behind us with two very beautiful and majestic dogs. I'm not sure how to spell what one of the dogs was, but she was brown and had long hair. The other dog was a Greyhound. My group loved them. They were so sweet. I was totally speechless, they were magnificent. So many things were rushing through my head, how can someone live with themselves to kill an innocent Greyhound. Who would support such an awful thing?

"Your looking at an animal among the top ten fastest animals on Earth- a Greyhound." The man said
"How fast can they run?" I asked
"45 Miles per hour." he answered
Whoa I said under my breath, amazing.
"We rescued them from a racetrack in Florida." the woman said.
"Really?" I asked
"Yep" She answered

That day was one of the best days of my life just to see those dogs changed everything. That couple is inspirational and I'm inspired to change the world for Greyhounds. And that's the truth.

It is my belief that a gunshot to the head (properly placed) would be no worse than a fast acting lethal injection. Having not experienced either, this remains speculation on my part.
