How It Happened- My love for animals didn't just show up overnight, I was born to be in this world for the dedication to animals. Loving animals has rewards- I love seeing any animal, and it's a treat to me. Some people see a chipmunk or another animal, and just say "it's just chipmunk" but in my mind, an animal will NEVER "just be an animal." I'll always recognize an animals beauty. And will never forget why I'm here and I'll also never forget what's important to me.
Where It's Going To Stay- My love for animals is in my heart and soul.
They are and always will be my life.
Why God Gave Me This Great Gift- God gave me the gift of loving animals for my life. Someone needs to be responsible for his creatures. I'll never regret what he gave me. Helping and being with animals has taught me that God gave us these animals for them to live as companions for us and for us to share our love with them.
My Goal In Life- Is to care for animals and educate others about animal welfare. I want to become a veterinarian when I'm older. I know what I want. I'd like to travel around Michigan being a vet for wild, house, zoo, endangered, farm, and exotic animals.
Why I'm Like This- I love animals and want to help them because animals have feelings too. I would not like to be treated like some animals are treated and I want to change that. Animals deserve better lives then what some have. And all they want in life is good health and a happy forever loving home. They need us and we need them and we can help them.
This story will always be in my heart.
My grade was on a field trip to a ghost town and we split up into groups of five.
As we walked on a rocky path, an elderly couple about in the early 60s came up behind us with two very beautiful and majestic dogs. I'm not sure how to spell what one of the dogs was, but she was brown and had long hair. The other dog was a Greyhound. My group loved them. They were so sweet. I was totally speechless, they were magnificent. So many things were rushing through my head, how can someone live with themselves to kill an innocent Greyhound. Who would support such an awful thing?
"Your looking at an animal among the top ten fastest animals on Earth- a Greyhound." The man said
"How fast can they run?" I asked
"45 Miles per hour." he answered
Whoa I said under my breath, amazing.
"We rescued them from a racetrack in Florida." the woman said.
"Really?" I asked
"Yep" She answered
That day was one of the best days of my life just to see those dogs changed everything. That couple is inspirational and I'm inspired to change the world for Greyhounds. And that's the truth.
