Cassie & Bianca

How we met:

We got Cassie as a baby after losing Lady, our 12 year old Beagle Hound to old age. Bianca we adopted a couple years later from the Animal shelter.

Pet likes:

FOOD! Both of them go nuts for people food because they're not supposed to have it! They both also love to play, anytime - anywhere.

Pet dislikes:

Bianca hates to walk outside when it's wet. She also hates when it storms and shivers and hides. I can tell when a storm is coming long before it actually does by her behavior. Cassie doesn't seem to have any dislikes; she is such an easy going dog.

Pet’s favorite spot:

Cassie rotates between all three of us at different times of the day. She loves to snuggle with my son in the morning, loves to go to bed with us at night and loves to snuggle in the recliner when I'm watching TV. Bianca loves to be by me ALL the time and follows me everywhere I go. I work at home and am at my computer a lot so I put a pillow next to my desk for her and that's where she spends a lot of her time during the day.

Pet’s favorite toy:

They have so many favorites, it's hard to pick one. Cassie is much more into her "babies" than Bianca is. Bianca gives this one particular stuffed dog, which is almost as big as she is, hell at least once a day. Even though she's fixed, for some reason she also likes to hump it. Cassie loves all her toys and is very good at making the squeaky ones squeak!

Pet’s silliest habit:

Bianca, our tiny little 7lb Shih-Tzu is a scavenger. When we adopted her she was extremely underweight and had been abandoned by her previous owners. She was obviously not fed well and because of this she scours every inch of our home on a continuous basis looking for tidbits. Nothing stops her. She jumps up on tables, chairs, and will take huge leaps to get to where she needs to go. She actually resembles a cat when she's in her scavenger mode. We've had her over a year now and even though she gets plenty to eat, I imagine this will always be a part of her personality. Cassie's silliest habit is lying on her back on the floor and squirming around. While she's squirming, she does this "begging" motion with her two front paws.

Pet’s sweetest moments:

Cassie's sweetest moments are when she snuggles with my son when he's sleeping. She likes to manipulate him to move his legs or arms so that she can get under them. Once, my son fell asleep on the couch with one arm draped over the side. Cassie managed to snuggle up under him and had one paw draped over the couch next to his arm. It was so sweet, of course I took a picture.
