Personally i think all of this is just stupid. Nathan talks about the vaccines to the animals in his discussion then gets of the discussion with human vaccines. way i see it if my dog lives 10 years with no problem other than age I'm going to cont...
Okay i'll get rid of any garlic or onion type of product from the recipe. If anyone wants to know any of the recipes i'll be happy to post them. I'll be trying a few this week when i'm off. :) i'll let you know how he likes them.
I agree, Dr. Shey, Belles. Bobby, We have done our re-search. I bake a chicken once a week and cut it up for treats, training rewards etc Nothing fried , no spices. They will do things U can't imagine when U want them 2 do something that is strang...
No onions or garlic of any kind ever. These are good for you and me but toxic for dogs. As a vet tech I see on a regular basis dogs coming in anemic from these spices. Hell for the safe side leave most spices out altogether. You want a good treat ...
I am not a voice of authority. I am a concerned pet owner, and seen this toxicity only because o of experience. I am not smarter, or pretend to no more than any other dog owner on here. I am concerned for each one of these pet owners on here that ...
Never use garlic unless U want 2 kill your dog or cat. I don't care what the recipes say. Please take DR Sheys advice as he is a Vet. There is much info on the DVM re-search of this OUTDATED poison thought to be good for dogs. It is a Myth. Highly...
No, because as a vet, I have seen to many dogs die. Large dogs, medium dogs, and small dogs. I will not take any possible chance with my own period. I will not think about trying it and I will never look into it. As long as I see, a owner grieving...
Okay thanks. I haven't made the treats yet and since the garlic and onion stuff won't affect the taste I'll mark it out and share the rest of the recipe with you all and some others if you want them. That is if my dog like's them. ;b (he's picky)xb
michael:
Since you seem to have a voice of authority, could I ask you to please call the aunt jeni's homemade company (google their website) and talk to their nutritionist about garlic in their products? I otherwise like their products and would ...
Garlic even in trace amounts is toxic to dogs. Some dogs, cannot even handle a trace amount and some can handle a bit more, but you don't know. Your dog can be allergic to it, and it is on every toxic list. Please, do not take chances.
Do you think it will make the treat taste any different if i didn't put the ingredients in? I'll have to wait to consult my vet because i don't know my schedule yet. I'll have to wait to make the treats til next week anyway when i get my check. :b
He's a 10lb dog. what would you all consider for the amounts? For the garlic itself or for the other ingredients. Would i half the amount of the garlic or doulbe the amount of the other ingredients?

My cockapoo is losing mobility in her back legs, tripping over her feet, stumbling, losing control of her bladder and a couple of times her bowels. The vet has advised it is likely a degenerative condition but we won't know for sure without numero...
Thank for the info for the baths. And yes they have said he has allergies, but to pinpoint what, I need to take him to a dermitologist (?) and I definitely can't afford that. Could be food, any indoor or outdoor allergies. I have taken him off any ...
Being single, I agree, is NO excuse. Seeing as when I was single I had way more extra money than after getting married and having kids!!
I did not grow up with cats though I do have two cats now. They are declawed, but they were declawed as kitte...
