Is there a website or other resource that I can access to source this information? I would like to use some of this info in a upcoming presentation about BSL and pits, but I need to be able to document my sources. Any info is appreciated. Thank you!
Seem the y want the soldiers to just cut off all feelings and give up things that bring them comfort and joy.
It is very sad day and time . Where is the soldiers and their families Freedom.
First of all, the pit bulls are not being taken away from their owners. They are euthanizing when necessary, they are euthanizing the sick, the aggressive, and the old. I live in Colorado, I know the legislation.
Tougher penalties for these atrocities are needed if we are ever to deter these sadistic crimes. But on another note if all we focus on is pit bull fighting, we are as one sided as the media. We also need laws to protect another noble breed of dog...

How we met:
I got Toby and Angel from Tuolumne County Animal Control.
Cheyenne came from a family who didn't have the time for her.

Cheyenne snores-REALLY LOUD
Chester stands on his hind legs.
Oscar rolls around on his back.
Jungle Bird talked to you.
Rosco raises his lips and does this smile thing.
Sis does these tiny whines when she's irritated.
Pet’s sweetest moments:
When Toby and Angel sleep together like when they were puppies.
When Cheyenne comes walking over and lays her head in your lap.
When Rosco and Sis greet you.
When Oscar and Chester go adventuring in the "tall" grass.
When Jungle Bird came over and said Hi.
I crack up when my pet:
When Toby and Angel play this game "cat and mouse" around our deck.
When Cheyenne does her wiggle dance when she's happy.
When Oscar and Chester wrestle.
When Jungle Bird ran.
When Rosco does his lip thing.
When Sis does her whine.
My pet is unique because:
There's nobody that can make me laugh as much as them!

******************* How do you cope with a dog that is showing anxiety-based behaviors such as aggression, inappropriate urination, guarding, destructive chewing or barking? Know that your dog is not trying to take over your household, even though it might seem like it. Positive reinforcement has been shown to be the most effective training method for these types of behaviors. As you begin the process of modifying your dog’s behavior, BE PATIENT. Positive training relies on consistency, and repetition.
Tip #1: First, identify WHY your dog is behaving this way. You cannot effectively deal with a behavior unless you know the root cause behind it.
Tip #2: Once you know the WHY, then you can ask yourself HOW to treat the behavior. It is vitally important that you understand your dog. I don’t believe you can train a dog well without first understanding how he perceives the world. You can then use this knowledge to make training easier.
Tip #3: Learn to talk and think dog. Good communication increases the bond between dog and owner considerably. Dogs don’t speak our human language, yet many people treat them as if they do. As a result, the dog ends up confused.
Tip #4: Be kind! Never hit, scream at or yank your dog. Dogs that exhibit aggression to humans or other dogs are under a great deal of stress, even though they might appear confident, dominant or just plain nasty. Think how you feel when you are fearful, angry or even violent. It is not a good place to be. Don’t combat fear with more fear—recognize your dog’s concerns, then slowly and gently teach him to overcome them.
Tip #5: Go very slowly when dealing with anxiety-related behaviors. The best way to rehabilitate an aggressive dog is to change how he perceives the stimuli that make him anxious. Do this by slowly showing your dog that the thing he fears is no longer scary. This technique is called desensitization. If your dog is guarding the couch, food bowl, or front door, show him gently that there is another way to feel that makes him happier and more confident. For example, shower him with attention when he is on the floor, and not on the couch. Show him that good things happen to him when you approach his food bowl, because it means you'll be adding more delicious food.
Teaching obedience commands is relatively easy to do, but changing a dog’s negative behaviors and perceptions is not. Therefore, it's important to enlist the help of a qualified trainer, who can help tailor a treatment plan for your dog’s particular problem. Avoid trainers who use harsh methods or advocate choke, prong or weighted collars. And remember, positive training equals positive results. It might take a little longer, and require more time and patience on your part, but the positive changes you’ll see in your dog are worth it! *******************

<u>MY THREE
TOP TEN REASONS WHY PIT BULLS CANNOT BE TRUSTED
10. They will steal your spot on the couch while you are up getting a soda.
9. They will take the treat you give them and bury in the back yard like a paranoid crack head hiding their stash.
8. They will jump on your bed with muddy feet. Making you do the laundry...again!
7. They will lick visitors with an uncontrolled passion only they understand.
6. They will cause children to smile.
5. They will make you feel horrible for not walking them by looking at you with deep sad eyes.
4. They will look at you like you committed a crime against them if you don't let them lick your ice cream bowl.
3. They will cause wide spread happiness in large group settings.
2. They will crack you up by shaking their butts so hard you think they are going to snap in half.
And the number one reason why you can't trust vicious Pit Bulls...
1. They will steal your heart like a thief in the night, showing you complete and pure love that only a Pit Bull can show you

Visit (FFASC) Fight For Animal Safety Communities The reason I started this group on the Ning network was to broaden and expand the knowledge of animal cruelty and to gather people to join the site and become one for animals . I don't want to draw members away from the ASPCA community, I just want you all to have a chance to check out the Social Network and maybe join.

She just emailed me. She still needs help and wants someone to foster the dog for a year for her. She will pay for all the food etc. Email her at: sharmarobinson@yahoo.com
Steff I think many see Millan as from his show where he is working with dogs that are considering being rehomed or put to sleep and he is the last ditch effort to turn the dog around, He does not advocate the same treatment for all dogs. Granted I have enjoyed most of the few shows I have seen, but same time I DONT advocate harsh correction unless the dogs behavior is endangering his life or threatening others, and even then I feel the lowest correction possible and fewest times possible. It is funny that I see that as how Millan trains and others see the opposite. His third book kind of showed that side of his beleifs, the one involving his family, the kids also had a chapter, I have just been rereading it
Yep I know what u meant crying for him for months..I did the same thing for 4 months when my ex and I first broke up and he would not let me see him..
